Rose Queen and I have been playing around with a simulation game, and we wanted to try it out with you guys.
We will be simulating Clan interactions and basic warrior life in order to test the accuracy of our current values (more information below), but we need warriors to do it with. That's where you come in!
If you are interested in having your character be a part of the simulation, post a response to this thread using the provided form. Please note that it does not have to be one of your WCO characters! It could be a cat that you created on the spot.
Apply only ONE character per post! So if you apply one character, you must wait for someone else to post before you can apply again as we have a limited amount of slots (6 per Clan) to begin with. You can apply additional characters as you wish (with a maximum of two on the waitlist/in-game). After you have two on the waitlist or in-game, please do not apply another character until one dies.
Availability will increase as the Clan grows, either by outsiders joining or kits being born.

Everything from suffixes, mates, mentors/apprentices, high ranks, deaths, random events, and how many kits are being born to a queen will be randomly generated.
Suffixes will be generated through
Silverpelt.
The rest will be generated through
random.org.
I will be in charge of rolling, and depending on the number random.org lands on, it will happen in the simulation via Rose's controls. We will attempt to be diligent about screenshotting events and I will document the allegiances, deaths, and Clan high-lights as they occur. These will be publicly accessible via
our tumblr once the game starts, allowing everyone to see the current status of the Clan.
Since we have two Clans, we will be alternating between them - switching off every season. During Green-leaf of Year 1, we might be controlling ForestClan, so during Leaf-fall of Year 1, we will switch to controlling OceanClan. During this time, ForestClan will be (mostly) dormant until Leaf-bare.
Survival [Rolled Once Daily for all Clan members]
- 5% chance of death.
The cause is randomized but will reflect the Clan's current situation. Potential causes are death from disease, accident, starvation, etc..
Mates [Rolled Once Daily for Warriors]
For each individual cat, there is 50% chance of being ready for a mate.
If they are ready to take one, the next cat that signals availability will become their mate within reason.
Each couple has a 5% chance of breaking up, starting the day after they become mates. This is rolled daily.
- If they break up, there is an additional roll to see why they did. Examples include one character falling out of love, personality clashes, a severe disagreement, leaving one for someone else..
Pregnancies [Rolled Once Daily if there isn't a pregnancy in progress for that couple]
For each pairing, 50% chance of pregnancy. This resets after the pregnancy has concluded.
For each non-hetero pairing, 10% chance of finding an adoptive kit. This resets immediately and will be rolled the following day.
Kitting [Rolled during Kitting]
Each kit: 10% chance of being stillborn.
Queen: 5% chance of death from complications.
Kit to App Rolls [Rolled when a Kit becomes an Apprentice]
15% chance of becoming MCA if there isn’t one already.
Mentors are chosen via a list of warriors on
www.random.org/lists/.
Outsider Interactions [Rolled Once Daily]
10% chance of an outsider:
- Stealing prey
- Joining the Clan
- Engaging in a Forbidden Relationship (the other party is randomized)
5% chance of:
- A cat from the other Clan engaging in a Forbidden Relationship (the other party is randomized)
- A cat from the other Clan joining
Each instance of an event involving the opposite Clan results in a 5% daily increase of an attack being launched.
After an attack is launched, the chance resets to the base value, 5%.
