Pinestar got up onto the the top of her tree stump den ( still needs a name) all cats old enough to hunt and fight meet under the great stump she yelled across the camp, they still only had a small group but it would grow. She looked over at her leader apprentice it was more of a your going to have to learn this signal she then looked over at mapleleap and darkkit “ are you ready?” She wispered to mapleleap

(oop okay) Darkkit made her way out of the nursery. She could hear the snickers of other kits behind her. She looked up, her ears flat as her eyes turned into slits, she wasn’t gonna let her clan down, even though all the kits teased and bullied her. Sitting down, she waited for her leader to call out the meeting.

Mapleleap sat down, curling her tail around her paws. The young medicine cat looked as the other cats gathered around for the ceremony. She knew that Darkkit was about to be made into an apprentice, and the glow in her eyes was easily seen even in the dark cape of night. I wonder who will apprentice Darkkit... She thought. It was always exciting to see who would get their apprentice, especially if it was their first.

She hoped maple leap would teach her well she wondered what darkkit would say about being a medicine cat apprentice. “ from this moment on you will be known as darkpaw your mentor will be mapleleap,” she turned to mapleleap “ I know you will teach her well and pass everything you know onto her”

Darkpaw sighed, mewing, “I do. I promise to protect and heal the cats in my clan with my life.” She then padded over to Mapleleap. Sitting down beside the she-cat. Her ears now went flat, her tail twitching slightly.

“ meeting dismissed! Mapleleap why don’t you take darkpaw out and show her the best herb spots and the territory?” She said looking at darkpaw and mapleleap, darkpaw didn’t look to happy but pinestar knew she would do great and if she needed to be changed she would be

Mapleleap nodded at her leader and looked over to her new apprentice. She touched noses with Darkpaw. "Don't worry, being medic is much better than being a warrior." She was trying to cheer the young cat up. "Follow me, I'll show you where we sleep." Mapleleap signaled with her head to follow starting to pad away to the medicine cat den.
