Waking up immediately, dream still in mind- this was one of the first questions she pondered over. But now. she had a prophecy,, and an omen,, one that easily seemed to point towards new conflict .. . or rather- ..
'as it strikes against the raging tides of war" Well- ,, No no, wait. More cats. cats were being described by the prophecy- to .. fight?
Wait. the vision,, the tree, the one she easily recognized as an aspen. a branch had dropped - that had.. saved the clan from the flood. it was the same type of.. . flood as in her previous dream. Heart beat up, ,, would RiverClan attack again? but,, they would be saved..
her mind was a mixture of falling tiles and thin ladders. the dog's bark had come first,,
'Heed the call of the dog' - Dog,, - the call of a dog.. is a,, bark- dog's.. bark. a dog .. . Dog bark !! and a little spark of hyperness flowed through her. Now she was getting excited. This prophecy obviously meant StarClan was still looking after them,, even with the wrongs made on both sides. Paws wanted to run right to the warriors den to wake up the senior warrior.
I- need to take a deep - deep breath.. (and figure it out,! her mind added,,,)
Why couldn't the just have gotten to point across without riddles? Did StarClan themselves have a leader- who's sole purpose in li- in .. the
afterlife was to make things difficult for living cats?
"Maybe.. some fresh air.. . will help.." she meows, quite a hint of a yawn coming. Well,, she also would be careful to not wake up the others resting in her den. resting in her den.,, since.. most of them had gotten death berry poison on their wounds,, or in Pinewatch's case, down her through.
Aspen.. aspen. there where two Aspen's in ThunderClan,, but why would Dogbark be guarding a kit? Maybe.. could Aspenkit have some special power!?? .. that might help them against Kestrelstar?
Stepping into the clearing, she could see the dark night sky through the trees. Although it was Green-Leaf, the stars still shown past the small spaces where leaves weren't present. Then,, there. In the center of the clearing- the Thunderwillow!! of course-
Icicleripple glanced at the empty Leader's Den. Just like that, her mind connected the dots. Like how small kit paws would trace the stars to make shapes.
Leader,, deputy.. the deputy sits beneath the leader on the tree- And.. Aspenstrike!! Of course- .. gosh, a path forward! light in the dark. something that actual meant hope. was reAL. She would have to tell Aspenstrike about this soon. or should she start calling her Aspenstar already?
