It was a little hot outside, but then again, it was green-leaf. That was to be expected. Even so, Goosefury was tired of the heat. It was getting to be a little unbearable at times, and he was so ready for leaf-fall. Cooler temperatures meant shorter days meant more time to sleep, which was wonderful.

But he didn't have time for that at the moment. Right now, he had to figure out how to deal with Sparrowsnap's-no, with his kid.

He poked his head through the nursery, scanning the nests in search of the weird little she-kit. "Goslingkit? C'mere for a second, I've got a- I've got a game."

A well-built tortoiseshell she-kit was balled up over in the corner of the nursery den, elegant tail entwined like a rope from around her delicate gray nose, which contracted and expanded with each snoring breath she took in. An ear flicked upon hearing the warmly familiar voice of her... er, wait... Yeah, it was father.

Extending her forelegs in a rather lengthy stretch, Goslingkit opened her jaws wide on a yawn before at last rising to her petite - yet oh-so-towering - height. What... What did father want now? Goslingkit worried at her lip with two pointed incisors before peeping her head out of the entrance to the kit-brimmed shaft. A game? What did father mean by... by a game? Well, eh. Nevertheless Goslingkit was seemingly excited, as well as ever-so-characteristically curious. "Hi, daddy," the young she-kit murmured around what sounded an awful lot like another yawn. She sat back. "So, what's the game?"

'Daddy.' The name made his ears twitch uncomfortably. He was young. Too young to be a dad. Yet here he was with a kit calling him 'Daddy.' He opened his mouth to tell her that, no, he wasn't her dad, but the thought of Sparrowsnap made him reconsider. If he wasn't her father, then that meant Sparrowsnap would be her mother, and that would never happen, ever. Goslingkit was his, and his alone.

"That's me," he said, reaching out with his tail to gently flick one of her ears. "The game's called 'Badger Attack.' I'm the badger, and you have to attack me to drive me away from your camp. Want to play?"

Goslingkit's thin brows crinkled together in the half-repressed expression of a scowl as her father flicked her ear. "Hey!" she giggled, dappled paw extending forward to lash at his tail. This eventually led to the tortoiseshell springing to her paws and spinning around mid-air with the endeavorment of flattening herself onto Goosefury's tail, perhaps even one of his paws, too, if all went well and she succeeded. "Get out of my camp, ya stinky badger!" she growled, and bared her teeny fangs. "Goslingstar says to, otherwise she'll rip you to shreds and blind you!" Had her father - in an alternate reality - somehow been replaced with a stinky old badger, then yes, Goslingkit would be sure to blind the fat animal, just like how her father had cleverly blinded that one speckled she-cat. That 'Sparrowsomething.'
