The way of the healers (Nectarpaw Training)

After the events of the recent floods Lichenfur felt like he had been scratched across his face with how little he had taught his apprentice, stars, if it hadn't been for Halfhound Nectarpaw would've been left in the same situation he himself had been in six moons ago; no mentor, no herb knowledge, and the entire weight of the clan on his shoulders. He supposed that she would have Blazingsong to teach her but.., his gaze shifted across the new camp to where the former medicine cat was seated, his tail twitching, he couldn't say that she was the most reliable cat to teach her (especially seeing as she left him in said situation).

He sighed, getting to his paws. Lichenfur had planned to teach her some basics, however seeing as they currently didn't have any herbs he'd instead show her where to find them and then they'd go over their uses briefly, later he would give her a little quiz. Oooh and maybe, time allowing, teach her how to apply poultices of herbs? Yeah, that could be fun! Only if they found a good patch of dock leaves.

The black furred tom made his way across the camp to where Nectarpaw was seated, "Hey, would you like to do some training?" it was really a question, he didn't want to force her to go out if she didn't feel up to training, after all, the move and the flood hit the entire clan hard, and lots of their clanmates were still recovering. "We don't have to go out if you don't want to, of course."
