Houndleaf stretched his legs before padding near the entryway of camp. He figured that WindClan could use some fun after all the chaos of the fire. He sat for a bit before thinking of an idea. He stood up and padded to the center of camp. "Any cats old enough to go on the moor, gather around! We will be doing a race!" he yowled out.

Houndleaf thought it was a good idea. WindClan was known for the moors, and what better way to represent that than with a race! He knew that the younger cats would probably be eager to show off to the older warriors as well. He sat down and waited to see how many cats would gather

This is a race across the moor, so it is outside of the camp. Any kit that tries to sneak in will be sent back to camp

There will be checkpoints every so often, and a dice roll will determine if they pass it!

After the race starts, I will be rolling the dice for every character. the numbers will be 1-20, and here is what it means

Even numbers - your cat passes the checkpoint
Odd numbers - your cat doesn't
Mix - Your cat either gets distracted, but still passes, or falls behind and doesn't pass

Now, how do you tell who is in the lead? Simple! Whoever passes the most checkpoints. In my dice rolling post, The rolls will be sorted from 1st place to last place. For example

Rolled a 2 and a 8! Your cat breezes through the group and passes the checkpoint!

And, the higher the even number, the faster your cat gets to the checkpoint! If you are still confused, VM me for answers!

Cowtuft blinked slowly. A race? He exchanged a small glance towards his burnt hindleg -- it had healed pretty well! Though, it was still a bit of a pain. Maybe, if he took it easy, he could still join in. Decided, Cowtuft padded up to Houndleaf. His feathery tail swishing back and forth excitedly.

Cliffjumper approached Houndleaf with intention to participate. "I'll join," the orange guardian meowed.

Sunning herself in the clearing, belly up and seemingly without a care in the world, Lightningpaw attempted to find some rest. It had been eluding her of late, yet again. She was constantly concerned about... everything. And she hated it. She hadn't found a cure for Milkpaw and the other afflicted cats yet, her nightmares seemed to be getting worse, mixing that strange prophecy alongside the visions her lovely dreams enjoyed affording her, and she found herself more and more consistently worried for her little brother.

Lightningpaw's littermates had vanished. Her mother's worthless mate had vanished. But Gingerheart? Gingerheart had always been there. Cloverkit was not afforded that small mercy, however, and the knowledge of this ate away at her heart.

She knew how easy it was to spiral into pits of despair when left to your own devices. But what could she do? She had duties to fulfill, and she was no queen. Maybe Cowtuft would allow her to have Cloverkit come over for company more often than not? At least until he became an apprentice...

Speaking of which... Lightningpaw instantly righted herself at the sight of the black and white tom as she spotted him in the clearing. A rarity for the two of them to be out and about at the same time, she was certain. The medicine cat apprentice considered going over to say hi, but decided against him. She was certain the tom needed a break from her every now and then. She had never been easy, that much she knew.

A voice calling forth all cats from... the camp entrance - she had to do a double take from the Galewood's base in confusion - the lithe calico spotted a thin, gray tom summoning forth all of WindClan. Apparently it was time to go on a run through the plateau. A grin instantly spread through the wiry apprentice's maw as she got up, large ears perked up with enthusiasm. While she did not get to exercise her speed as often as others, there was no doubt that she was made for it through and through. This would be a good way to hopefully keep the practice up. She just hoped the moons stuck in the medicine cat's den working hadn't gotten her too out of shape for this.
