Eager to please her new mentor, Mudstep practically slithered up a tree, settling on a low hanging branch near Elkshadow. Her eyes glinted as she fixed them on the tom, clearly sizing him up.

Mudstep twitched her whiskers in amusement at Elkshadow. She climbed slightly higher in the tree, just enough until she was out of sight. Suddenly, she sprang, dropping onto Elkshadow's back with enough force to make his legs buckle. Using her full bodyweight, she sprawled on top of him. "Pinned ya." She purred, getting up while flicking a leaf she had brought with her off of his pelt.

"Damn straight." He mumbled, with glowing eyes. Then he shook his head, embarrassed. "That was a great move."

Mudstep gave a shy nod of her head as thanks, giving her a chest a few embarrassed licks. "We could definitely learn more from each other..." She began to venture, eyeing the tom with a mix of wariness and hopefulness. "Maybe we can share prey when we wake? You can tell me all about what Ravenpelt has taught you." She suggested, pricking her ears towards their mentor.

"I'd be happy to do that. But for now, let's keep practicing." Elkshadow turns to Ravenpelt.

Ravenpelt sits down. "Elkshadow, crouch down. Mudstep, try the move on him that he did on you. You can keep your paws sheathed. For now." she adds.

Copying Elkshadow's movements from before, Mudstep leaped forward to dodge his attack, quickly swiping his paws out from under him. She jumped backwards just in time so the tom didn't land on her. Lunging forward, she grasp his scruff gently in her jaws. "Pinned ya again." She mumbled playfully through a mouthful of fur.
