He found his way over to his daddy and plopped against him, a purr rumbling in his throat. Lostmama wasn't around much, he figured it was cause she was lost - but daddy was here, and he loved his daddy. Daddy would never let anything bad happen to him. "Daaaad!" he chirped, letting the word draw out as he planted his paw against Darkfall's muzzle. "I don't know! Why's my eye all moopy?"
A routine visit to the nursery to check on his kits always brought interesting results. Sometimes those “interesting results” were positive, and other times they were very, very negative. The last time it had been Howlingkit being sick that brought him to the den. This time, however, he was here purely for pleasure and not business.
It didn’t take long for the eldest of his most recent litter, Smokekit to find him and promptly plop against him. He didn’t want to allow himself moments like these – moments filled with peace, however brief. He felt he didn’t deserve it. His kits were suffering in some way shape of form and he could feel himself growing ever complacent when he allowed himself some time ot relax.
Speaking of growing complacent, Smokekit’s sudden question caused him to flinch ever so slightly. He still blamed himself for the eye. Of course, there was nothing realistically that he could have done to prevent it, however, he should’ve gotten there sooner, he should have reacted faster and maybe the young tom’s eye would’ve been fine.
”Well… When you were small, there was a bit of an accident that caused you to hurt your eye. Your mother and I tried our best to make it better, but unfortunately, it wanted to stay… moopy as you’d call it.” He explained, bright blue eyes blinking at Smokekit slowly. He didn’t want to lie to him, but he also didn’t want to give an overtly complicated response either.

Excited to start their lessons, Midnightkit bounded over to Nighshiver and the other kits and hearing the question she became a bit nervous to answer. Especially since she has never spoken to any other kits or warriors beside Rosecloud. "Uhm..did Shadowclan started off led by Shadowstar?" She mews not fully sure if her answer, well more like a question, was correct.
