Padding out of the warriors den the molly realized she hadn't been all that active with her apprentice and that was going to change. She couldn't fail another one. Sure both times had been a failure of a mentor was because she had moved to the nursery as a queen, but it still hurt her inside. She made her way over to the apprentices den and pocked her head inside.

"Ready to do some training? You choose what we want to do since I'm a bit late in training you. I won't fail you I promise.", she meowed. Marigoldleap would take that to the grave. She would not fail the young cat. If she did she probably wouldn't recover.

He got up quietly and found his way over to his mentor. Of course, just now, his mentor decides to come, right after Cow went missing, probably dead. His goal was to find a body, maybe. Or maybe he it wasn't, maybe he wanted to believe she had run off to a better life, a new clan. Maybe he was the problem, maybe she was annoyed with him. He bugged her too much... he should've been kinder. But now she was gone, wasn't she? He shuffled his little paws over, tilting his head down. He didn't want to speak, in fact, he hadn't for the last few days. His voice, still feminine, sounded like Cow's. He had to move on, he needed to. He couldn't keep going like this.

But it was so hard to let go. He hoped she would visit him in his sleep, maybe then he would've told her how much he missed her annoying little schemes, always following him around. Maybe that would've let him let go, knowing she wasn't annoyed with him. Dear Starclan, how do people do this? He's seen people simply get up at death, and move on, so easily. Maybe they weren't as close as Cow and him were.

She kept her gaze an on her apprentice as he moved towards her. he didn't speak a word as he did so, which worried her a bit. Was she already doing a bad job as a mentor. Maybe she should have said something different. Heart pounding the molly moved back a small bit to give the young cat some room. Come on Marigold say something... She thought about doing so before moving over to the camp entrance, moving her tail to let him know to follow her. It was all she knew to do.
