Pinepaw's Therapy Office

Pinepaw was firm in her decision. She really wanted to help others, to make sure they don't end up like her. She was certain she could do something. Ah, her first visitor was about to arrive. Pinepaw was sitting in a flower field, away from the camp.

Scorchstrike had just gone to sleep, woken up in a strange place, and was understandably nervous. Am I dead? Wait a minute, my face doesn't hurt? Her face constantly throbbed with pain whenever she tried the slighted activity, so it was strange and almost foreign to suddenly have that pain disappear. An apprentice was sitting a little ways away. "Um...Hello? Is this Starclan?" @Shadeleaf

Pinepaw looked at her first victim awkwardly. Victim? Patient? Friend? Who knew? She, in fact, was not used to conversation, but she was a very good listener. She'd gone back to camp, looked through the thing cats used to observe the living and found this sad cat.
"Yes, this is StarClan. I can tell you're surprised so I'll just tell you no, you aren't dead. I called you here to help you." she mewed, slightly awkwardly.

Very relieved to find her time wasn't over, Scorchstrike sighed in relief. "What's your name? I'm Scorchstrike of Shadowclan." Still finding no pain in her face, she awkwardly poked at her missing eye with a paw and recoiled when there it didn't hurt. @Shadeleaf

Pinepaw twiched her ears and tilted her head. Ah yes, scars. Injuries didn't hurt you here. She herself had decided to keep her scar and her sickly skinny body for now.
"I'm Pinepaw, but that's not important right now. You need my help!" she tried to sound heroic but shrunk back when she realized it sounds weird.

(She's new to it, but she'll do her best to help Scorchstrike)

She needed help? Yeah, that sounded about right. Pinepaw was a Starclan cat, and they were supposed to know a lot, so maybe she could help. "I guess I do. My life really turned upside down lately. Dawnstar says the dog that got me is gone, but I refuse to believe that. It's out there somewhere, and I'm gonna find it before it kills anyone for real." Scorchstrike wasn't particularly concerned with vanity and her appearance, but she could tell other cats stared at her, even when they tried to act like they weren't. Poor thing, she got attacked. Couldn't defend herself. If I was in that situation I would have just run away, was what she heard them saying. "Like you try running away from a creature three times your size with huge slavering jaws and teeth the size of...big things." Scorchstrike looked away. You couldn't run faced with an enemy like that. Your paws were frozen to the ground, and you only moved when it had you in its jaws, shaking you back and forth... @Shadeleaf (lol its cool)

Pinepaw just nodded. She understood the staring. She also understood the feeling of sadness when you think that others will end the same way. In fact, that's why she was here.
"I understand. Experiences like this aren't easy." she mewed quietly, urging the cat to keep talking.

Scorchstrike figured she would be here a while, so she sat down and got comfy. "I have nightmares. They aren't normal nightmares. They feel much more real, I remember them for hours after I wake up. I don't want to go to sleep anymore. She wasn't sleeping, had no appetite, and would freeze in the middle of the forest until some other cat tapped her. Scorchstrike didn't know if she would ever recover.

Pinepaw ripped her head to the side, a sad expression on her face.
"Those nightmares happen because you're holding on to the bad experience. It's really hard to let go. I had nightmares too." she mewed seriously. She remembered the horrible dreams of Breezekit, threatening her and dying. The she-cat was going skinny and Pinepaw could tell. She herself was all fur and bones.

Irisflame popped into her mind again. Wouldn't she be amazed Scorchstrike, an ordinary warrior, was talking to a real Starclan cat! Suddenly, a thought popped into her head. Irisflame, who probably didn't have much warrior training, in the jaws of the dog, it ripping her apart, Irisflame's screeching... Now is not the time, brain. Shut up. Ripping her thoughts away from Irisflame and noticing Pinepaw really was skinny, she asked, "I heard all your injuries are healed in Starclan. Why not you?" @Shadeleaf
