I was told to go and watch it. For security purposes." He lied. Of course he didn't HAVE to go, but he made it sound like it was his order, his duty to go. He was a partial leader of the pack after all. After the pain mostly settled away he stood up on his paws and took a step towards the exit of the den. "You're more than welcome to come. I'd hate for you to be alone in this den for that time." He told her.

"Nothing that is related to him is innocent Czar!" She growled quietly at him. Partially hurt that he didn't take her side or have the same feelings as she did about this. "You think they are gonna grow up and be sweet innocent little things. But they are Klaus and nothing but Klaus." She huffed and stormed away, tears starting to form in her eyes. He was right, she was going to have to accept it wasn't she. It's not their fault that they were stuck in this situation. It was hers. If only she was stronger back then. If only she didn't get sick. She would've been there with Sunset, to fend off the continuous attempts of Klaus....maybe then she would have been able to do something about this whole situation.

The she wolf looked at him carefully to make sure he wasn’t in pain before walking up next to him. “I will come with you.” She said, though the thought of watching a wolf die in front of her eyes ran a shiver down her spine. The whole thought of it made her uncomfortable, the only time she’d want to see a wolf die would be if she was the one defending the pack. However sitting and watching it...it felt wrong to her.

“Quite frankly, I’d hate being alone too. I enjoy it when I am close to you.” She smiled warmly- pushing the unsettling feeling about what was to come behind her as she left him begin walking.

Czar looked at her as she ran, he swallowed the anger that was bubbling up inside of him and went after her- after all she was obviously hurt...and he had been hurt too...but it took him some time to forgive the pups of something they had never done. “Athena?” He called, looking around for her and following her scent. “Athena?” He called once again before stopping and seeing her in the distance. “Athena...” He sighed, beginning to approach her. “It’s hard...I know...” He said sympathetically.

Braith nodded as he slowly made his wade to the execution spot. Upon arriving, he saw wolves already gathered and sat in a comfortable spot, hearing whispers once he was there. However they were more than likely about the rumors of he and Aiya who had accompanied him on his walk. He sighed at this. Some wolves just needed to keep to themselves and not worry about other relationships now should they. He was early so he guessed he had a little bit of time to kill before the execution actually started so his mind started thinking again. About the future of the pack and the potential of more land they could acquire for Ketsueki's rule.

Taka was also early to the execution spot. After battling with himself about whether to show up or not, he finally just decided to appear. It was only right for him to do it. Right? If not? Why did he come? Was it to try to stop the execution? See Nokosi one last time? His mind was so split right now. What was the point of coming? The same wolf killed him. deep down. He can't forgive him. He can't wait to see him die.......can he? He shook his head, vigorously as if that would clear all those thoughts, but all it did was give him an even bigger headache than the one he had before.

Athena had ran off a long way, tears filled her eyes so it was a tough time seeing anything as she ran. Finally she ran out of breath and had stopped. She continued to cry as she thought about how this was her fault. Her head snapped to look at the wolf that called her name and relaxed when she saw Czar. She didn't say anything as started to approach her. She wanted to turn and keep running but something made her stay in the spot she was. She wanted to say something but couldn't find a way to speak either. Finally she just laid down, curled in a tight ball, tears still streaming from her eyes as she cried. It is all her fault. All of this. Is her fault.

Ketsueki sighed, looking at the crowd. He had just gotten back from speaking with the highest generals about what will be of their guards once they heal. On top of that they counted the amount of wolves who had paired with the fighters and once all was better construction would begin on their dens immediately- or the lucky ones would take the dens of guards who had passed during the rebellion. Any family they had left moved to the single she wolf dens so the she wolves would help care for the pups and the widowed she wolves.

His blue eyes scanned the crowd and was pleased to find Matasi walking up to Braith with his mate (?). The he wolf then took a deep breath and went to the center of where all the wolves gathered. His gaze looked over the wolves and he smirked as many of them looked expectingly at him. “I’m sure you all know what will be happening today.” He begun, watching the wolves around him shift in excitement. “Today we make example of those who think they can tear apart my pack. Those who believe they are better than me. Let today be the day we strike fear into the hearts of those who dare disobey me.” He smiled.

“Firstly we will have what wolves refused to go back to their previous occupation after being offered mercy. I promise you, the star of the show is to arrive soon.” He smiled, letting the other wolves cheer as twenty some slaves and fellow guards wolves came onto the stage- drowsy due to the herbs given to them. Twenty loyal guards then walked up in front of the other wolves. Ketsueki stood ways away and on his signal, gurgling and cries for help echoed through the clearing. The scent of iron and the sound of spilling liquid followed soon after. A roar of excitement came from the audience of wolves surrounding them as a few more entered the little clearing.

Nokosi jolted awake, his visions blurry and he heard the yelling of some wolves around him. He only got up when he heard a growl and a harsh nip to his hind leg. Once he stood, his vision only got a little clearer. He wasn’t out of it, but his mind was foggy enough to make his surroundings confusion- and his vision did not help. His ears were ringing for a while before they became normal. It was his only sense he could rely on as of now.

~0~

“Is this damn wolf deaf?!”

“Well he just had [blank herb], it makes them all disoriented....”

There was a pause.

“I think he can hear us now.”

“No dung.” One deadpanned.

“....”

“He looks more conscious than the others did.”

“That’s because the King wanted him to realize what was happening to him. But he didn’t want any complications on the way. The herb was only supposed to blur his vision and fog his mind only slightly so he wouldn’t know his surroundings. He should be able to think intelligently though. King Ketsueki couldn’t care enough about the other wolves. After all- they would be able to experience their pain and realize what would be happening in the last moment.”

Another pause followed.

“Hey- rat, did you hear that?” One chuckled. “You’re going to get killed but be helpless to do anything about it.”

There was another shorter pause, one he was assuming where the other guard was thinking.

“Hey, isn’t he supposed to have a long and painful death too?”

“Yes, I suppose so. But I’m a healer, what would I know about that stuff. I take orders, I heal. I have no time for things like this.”

“Ha! That sounds like a boring job.”

“I think you should start escorting him now.”

The healer seemed rather irritated, and suddenly, he was shoved roughly from behind. He continuously was getting shoved until his blurry eyes were blinded by the sun. He heard the chatterings of what he assumed to be four other wolves that surrounded him on all sides, the one that was in the den with him in front of him...he assumed he was leading them all. From the front he heard that familiar voice again.

“I’m surprised you aren’t talking yet. rat. No begging for your life? Or is it you can’t talk? Hm?”

Nokosi tried to deliver a smart response but all that came out was a raspy gasp.

“Dont worry. You should be able to talk in ten minutes....but I’ll warn you once and only once. Unless you want to drag out your death- don’t try or say anything smart.”

Nokosi growled- but to them it sounded like raspy breathing. They all chuckled as they approached the area. He heard the laughing and the all too familiar scent of heavy blood on the air. Soon he heard the chuckles of the wolves around him, and though he could barely see- he knew their eyes were glued to him. Regardless, the wolf- who was able to think more now and his mind was getting less foggy, he walked with confidence. Which earned disgusted sounds from those who surrounded him.

(I was gonna do Aiya and Matasi but basically Matasi is nervous slightly about Celestia being there and is trying to distract her if she’s there. And aiya is uncomfortable but sticking close to Braith)

~0~

Czar looked to her and sat by her, not knowing what to say until a while later. “Hey...you can talk to me if you want to Athena...” He sighed. “I know it’s going to take some time to get used to. You don’t have to like them...hell...you don’t have to be by them. But I’m going to try. I’m going to try and be the best big brother I can be to them. You don’t have to do the same to them as me. But...I’m going to try....” He sighed, closing his eyes momentarily before open his eyes with a determined shine to them. “Even if I don’t like how they came to be- I’m going to try to be there for them when they figure out one day how they came to be. I already promised the unborn pups I would always be there for them. Just like I’m always going to be there for you.”

Czar looked to her and sat by her, not knowing what to say until a while later. “Hey...you can talk to me if you want to Athena...” He sighed. “I know it’s going to take some time to get used to. Braith sat and watched the execution go according to the plans that were set. He was paying less attention to the wolves being executed and more attention to the crowd. Who was and who wasn't cheering and who to possibly keep a close eye one. He locked eyes on one of them being the silver healer that saved his life.

Taka had silently been creeping forward to the front as the slaves were being executed. He was emotionless through the whole thing, not saying a word
or even reacting to the slightest of death. The scent of iron was sickening yet he didn't let it bother him. Then Nokosi appeared. This was his chance now. He stood up and slowly walked forward so that he was at the front of the crowd, ready to act when he could. He would not be kept from his shining sun.

Athena was silent, unsure how to respond to it what she had said. She wrapped her front paws around him in a hug. "You already are the best big brother." She said around tears. There was a tad bit of jealousy in her but it was not to be outshined by her tears of sadness and self hate. She buried her head in his side. "I love you Czar."

Ketsueki looked to the side, and smirked as a certain wolf was shoved rather roughly in front of him. Immediately, he was kicked down to the ground by one of the wolves and heavy pressure was applied upon his neck so he would be unable to move. Nokosi was facing towards the crowd. “Ah, as all of you have already noticed the wolf responsible for all of this nonsense has arrived.” He paused to let some wolves boo, others growl and snarl. It irked him that they were all so quick to agree with everything he said. All quick to play into the role that he wanted. It was just too easy now.

Then it hit him, if they didn’t- they’d be dead. He chuckled a bit to himself before continuing. “I’ve taken it upon myself to give him the slowest death he could possibly have, for your liking. I absolutely refuse to have him die so quickly. Though I must remind myself I can’t chop him into bits. After all, he has to be recognizable if we are to display him for all to see.” He chuckled- earning some laughs from the crowd.

~0~

While Ketsueki continued on with his useless chit chat, Nokosi scanned the crowd, hoping to not find who he was looking for. For a while all he saw were hate filled eyes or those filled with joy for what was happening. It hit him that he used to be in Ketsueki’s spot. He used to be the one mindlessly talking and bathing in the attention that was given to him by his followers. But now, he had nothing. And honestly, it didn’t bother him as much as it used to before. He was going to die anyway, so why have any regrets?

No, he didn’t have any regrets. All except for one. And just as he thought about that one person, like magic- their eyes met. And a sickly feeling washed over him. For a couple of seconds, he looked terrified. Not for himself, but for his past lover that was watching. The expression on Takas face was unidentifiable, and he could try to care less for the moment. He didn’t need Taka seeing what was supposed to happen...

What could he say to him in this moment? If he were to talk surely Taka would get in trouble for knowing him. Perhaps even killed. What could he say? Should he just turn away? After all- nothing he could ever say could fix their past. The love between them had died, even if he believed there was a tiny spark left. Nothing was left of the two of them to ignite it. He couldn’t say he was sorry, no- he had long passed whatever that word could fix. Could he say I love you? No- it would mean nothing to Taka.

What he didn’t know is all he thought was being portrayed to him, his thought process and what was going through his mind was as clear as day. Finally, he came to an conclusion. He knew what to say, and how to end it. ‘I’ll miss you. Be safe for the years to come, my beautiful star/moon.’ (shh I’m tired ignore that.) He exhaled, finally ready for whatever to happen.

That was until his eyes opened wide. Why was Taka...in the first row- His blood ran cold. He gave him the frantic look that said ‘walk away, don’t do anything foolish. Just walk away.’ Panic began to claw its way through him. No, no Taka wouldn’t do that. He wouldn’t. He didn’t care for him anymore- so why would he risk his life? His well-being? He wouldn’t. Right? He couldn’t-

A sudden horrible pain sliced his way down his back and he was forced from his thoughts.

~0~

“Listen to me when I’m talking peasant.” Ketsueki growled, irritated at only the pained gasp of surprise and the mere grunt that came from this wolf at the pain he had inflicted. “Huh. You must be experienced when it comes to pain.” He growled. “Dont worry. I’ll just make sure to make it more painful to fit your needs.” The white wolf grinned, cutting once again into the new wound that he had made- but this time using his claws to open it wider and cut deeper- earning a ear piercing scream as Ketsueki looked into the wound and found white in the midst of all the red.

“Ah, bone.” Ketsueki hummed, continuing to targeting the one spot over and over- having the wolves around him cheer at Nokosi’s pain, spitting insults and curses at him. What Ketsueki didnt know is that Nokosi kept eye contact with Taka, begging him to turn around and leave. It was only five tries later that Ketsueki stopped for the sake of not wanting Nokosi to pass out. “There we go~” He hummed. “That got a nice reaction from you.” He purred, eyeing the wolf’s exhausted and shaking body. The alpha looked to the guard who was watching intently. “You may take your paw off his neck. His body will not be able to move or walk in the state it’s in.” He ordered and the guard moved to the side.

“Now,” He announced rather loudly. “Anywhere that I should target next? Perhaps the crowd has somewhere specific?” He asked, raising his eyes- only briefly locking with Taka’s in confusion to as of why a healer was here, before scanning the rest of the area. “Ah- my trusted Braith. Perhaps you have a say?” He asked, eyeing Nokosi’s tail whilst doing so.

~0~

(Anyway back to the wholesome moment : D )

Czar breathed out and looked to Athena. “Well, then I hope I can continue being a great big brother for my youngest siblings yet.” He hummed back at her, enjoying this relaxing moment with his sister. “I love you too Athena. And don’t you ever forget that-okie?”

(It makes me laugh that even though czar would never find this out- if he hypothetically found out Athena killed the pups he would turn on her soooo fast.)

Taka watched as Nokosi's body was being ripped apart, Ketsueki tearing into his spine. He would soon be paralyzed, unable to move. His eyes started to water from watching this, as if the torture was on him and not Nokosi. He couldn't take it anymore, should he die, he died with Nokosi, but he couldn't stand there and watch him die and not do anything. He had to help his shining sun, even if the light has evaporated, that did not change what he was to him.

Braith from where he was sitting had kept the corner of his eye on Taka as he sat there watching the execution go according to the plan as he watched Nokosi's torture. He will admit, watching the one that defeated him and dared try to overthrow Ketsueki was satisfying to watch. Why not be a participant and help with the punishment given. He gave a smile at the offer. It would be fun wouldn't it? "I see you have an eye for his tail. Perhaps-" He cut himself off and his smile vanished as his eyes snapped toward the movement from the corner of his eyes and saw Taka and was it was clear he was making his move. But why? He didn't understand what benefitted him for causing a scene like this.

At the sound of Braith talking, that's when he knew most heads would be turned and he made his move wiggling and dodging his way around and through the guards at the front. Being small and as lean as he was, he managed to slip away from the grasps of wolves. Running away and escaping were his two best attributes after healing. Once on the stage he shoved Ketsueki away with all his might. The idea wasn't to injure him in any way. It was to buy time. Time for him to say goodbye. Once Ketsueki was away, he turned to Nokosi and stood over him in a crouch so that their faces were only inches away. He told himself that this would be a goodbye, but the words that came out weren't near the sort. "Come on Nokosi." He nearly whispered in a tone that sounded like he was holding back tears. "You can't leave me like this.....I didn't bring my herbs." He gently put a paw on his wound praying to anything that it would jus heal on his touch. "I'm gonna have to carry you back to my den so we can get you treated." Tears were definitely falling from his face now as he looked at Nokosi, to his wound, then back to Nokosi. For the first time since Nokosi said he didn't love him, Taka had shown emotion, and it could possibly be the last time as he heard Braith shouting for guards. "Come on. I can't lose you. Not yet. There's still so much I have to say to you. I can't leave you! I must protect my shining sun!" He said wrapping his arms around Nokosi that was a big hug. He took a big inhale of Nokosi's scent ignoring the scent of blood and only wanting Nokosi, knowing that it would be his last time he would see him alive. "I still love you. I still need you. You can't leave." With that a few guard wolves had magaged to pull him away from Nokosi as he was kicking and fighting trying to break free, but to no avail as he gave up on the situation as a whole, just keeping his teared eyes lock with Nokosi.

Braith was now down there near the other guards as they got ready to apprehend the culprit that interrupted the execution. As some guard pulled Taka away Braith was already next to Ketsueki as he helped him up on his paws and looked at the culprit. "What say we should do with this one?" He asked. "Should we execute him as well for daring to interrupt the execution?" He asked as he looked at Taka, staring into Nokosi. What did the two have that made him want to interrupt the execution knowing that it might've just cost him his life? It made no sense for the moment. He would figure it out later.

Athena sighed. She didn't want him to be their big brother. She wanted him to just be her big brother and only hers. What would she have to do to make him only her big brother. She had to hope for still born, that was her only option, she couldn't kill pups. Yeah she hated how they would soon come to be, but she wouldn't kill would she? That was completely wrong. She didn't want to worry about that now as she closed her eyes. "I won't Czar." (You wont love her for long once you find out she killed someone) She managed to stop crying and stood up on her feet. "I guess I should maybe try to accept them at the very least....."

Nokosi, who was barely able to register what was going on, looked into Takas eyes. His own were cloudy and were distant- but the wolf smiled because Taka was with him. ‘So pretty’ he meant to say- but all thag came out was mumbles and moans, but those turned to fierce growls when they snatched Taka away, and when he saw tears form in his little star’s eyes. Still out of it- he tried to stand, but could barely even move his paws. All he could do was snarl and growl- trying to scare them to let him go.

Why was this happening? Where were they going to take him?! Just a few moments ago it was him and Taka in a meadow together, now suddenly they were surrounded by thousands of wolves. He tried to look as threatening as possible- but it only looked more pitiful to those watching as the dying wolf tried to defend the healer. However his growling and movements were draining him, and suddenly a white paw went in front of his blurring vision.

Ketsueki looked down at the sad excuse of a wolf before looking to the healer who was yelling and thrashing around. “I’ve never seen such liveliness from your Taka.” He huffed- slightly surprised at the healers actions. More so, he was intrigued more that angry. After all, he couldn’t kill his best healer now could he? “No, he will not be executed, but rather he will be imprisoned for a moon. And, lucky you Taka- you’ll get first rows seat to see this wolves dying moments.” And quickly, a howl erupted from Nokosi as the base of his tail was slashed over and over until it broke off. “I don’t think he’ll last much longer, he doesn’t have enough strength to do anything but breath.” The alpha huffed, sitting back and looking for Taka’s reaction. Perhaps he would give him something to remember Nokosi by once he was in his prison.

(And wait- Czars gonna find out she killed them?!? I thought he wouldn’t???)

Czar smiled to her. “That’s the spirit. You don’t have to do anything, just let me do all the hard work and you can sit there looking all high and mighty.” He chuckled. “I’m sure they’ll look up to you, after all- your super cool.” He huffed, attempting to lighten the mood. “Plus, you got Rí on your hind paws so you already have your paws filled with him and Kakó.”

Watching this torture made Taka sick to his stomach. He continued trying to kick and wiggle out of the grasp of the guards but it was to no avail as he could not free himself. "Don't kill him. I'll do anything." He pleaded to Ketsueki. "Just don't kill him. He'll change. I can make him a better wolf! He'll be loyal to you and won't start any of this again. Just please." Tears were falling from his face more now. He didn't like seeing Nokosi in this pain, in this condition. He could heal him, it wasn't too late. If he begged hard enough, maybe he could save his shining sun.

Athena slightly blushed at him talking about Ri looking up to her, but she shook it off quickly. "He just wanted to learn how to swim. That's it." She bumped into her brother lightly. "One of these days, I'm going to teach you how to swim. You will be getting your fur wet one of these days."

(Messin up my plans like this)

Ketsueki looked at this wolf, weighing his options- wolves around them sat watching him closely, wondering what their king would do. ’Anything?’ He thought. ‘That could be useful. Having this wolf pledge to do anything....’ “Well...” He hummed, walking up to the healer and looking him in the eyes. “Anything?” The alpha smirked. “Having you at my complete beck and call would prove to be useful for this pack.” He huffed. “But your actions will not go unpunished healer.” The alpha attempted to degrade him by not using his name. “You will be imprisoned for a half a moon. We will discuss further on what you will be doing whilst there later.”

The white wolf looked down to the bloody mess which was Nokosi. “As for the traitor, the time is ticking. And if he dies in your paws- your promise still stands.” He smirked at the silver wolf before flicking his tail, guards taking both Taka and Nokosi away and to the nearest healers den for him to be treated and to be used as the holding den for the both of them. Ketsueki looked back to the crowd- who were dead silent. “Onwards with the executions, we have few more left.” The bloodied white wolf stepped down from the center of the pack and flicked his tail for Braith to follow as he walked back to where Matasi and Aiya were sitting.

The crowd was quiet for only a few more seconds before cheering as few more were brought to the center. Ketsueki’s eyes flickered to the obviously horrified Aiya as she now refused to stare at the center of the area. He made no move to talk to her as she flinched as he sat nearby- only smirking at her pain. “What a change of events, huh Braith? Who would’ve thought that now I got the untamable healer under my paw.”

~0~

Czar flinched at the mention of him swimming. “N-no thanks. That’s never going to happen.” He shook his head. “Not in a million years Athena. You can bet on that.” He bopped her on the head with his paw playfully, hoping to change the topic from the horrors which were water.

Taka was grateful that Nokosi had been spared. He looked at his back and could tell the time really was ticking with him. He would have to be quick. When they were released into a healer's den he went to work straight away gettign herbs and cleaning all his wounds before dealing with his back. "Oh Nokosi.... this is going to hurt. Forgive me." He began to give his treatment, which would be terribly painful, as he flinched at the noises Nokosi made as he tried to fix his back and close his wounds. He would repeatedly apologize for the pain, but there was nothing he could do, he might as well do it now while he was drugged. After taking nearly a good chunk of the day, his wounds were closed and he was done. "Oh Nokosi. I'm done. You'll be all better. I promise." He said curling up next to him, tired from the events today.

Braith narrowed his eyes as Taka and Nokosi get taken away and took a deep sigh as he saw the look on Aiya's face. They should leave very soon. VERY soon. His head turned to Ketsueki as he walked up to them. "I don't know. Perhaps not yet." He warned. "Maybe for now you do." He was still cautious of the healer. He had seen how he looked at things. He surely had no problems defying Ketsueki if he so chose.

"Oh really?" She grinned mischievously. "Well then let's make a bet. If I can make you wet sometime before we become official warriors of the pack. You have to do what I say for two whole days. And if you don't I have to listen to you for two days. Deal?"
