His gaze flickered to the sound of snarling. Oh. Oh bird. More coyotes?

Wormbite's ears perked up, at the command he sprang off the coyote's face. However at least the damage was down and it ended up fleeing from its wounds. The smell of blood and mingled senses made it a struggle for the tom to pinpoint where the medicine cats were. The sound of Sootpaw's voice luckily let him figured it out. Wormbite slid back, taking a position by the rear of the group. He blindly whirled around, eyes swiveling to the sound of yips-- it was too much. There was no way for them to kill off the coyotes. Not exactly. Not by just battling. Wormbite's claws dug into the dirt, ideas flashing inside his head. The rivers were swollen from snowmelt-- but he didn't know how far a river was. It may just end up washing the coyotes up on Thunderclan' territory. It couldn't get rid of the problem. The outskirts? Twolegs? Twolegs were bigger and dangerous. He didn't know how far they were.

Wormbite's claws dug into the ground, his goal was to protect Otterstone and Omenshade.

Owlflight had been standing, looking out at the clearing when he saw the five new coyotes join the fray. One of which, came straight at the small group. He crouched down getting ready to leap when Fennelnose stumbled by him, straight into the enemy's jaws. "Get away!" He yowled at the top of his lungs, to at least try to get its mind off of Fennelnose and on the tabby warrior. He lunged with an outstretched paw clawing the dog's eye but, it was hunting. Nothing would stop it from getting to the weaker cats unless it was killed. He ran around to its rear and latched on with claws and teeth to the coyote's flank. He climbed his way up while vicious jaws snapped at his side. This thing is dumb. He thought as the coyote started to spin trying to get to the cat climbing up its side. Owlflight made it to the top, hanging on for dear life he bit into the spine of the creature, paralyzing it from the waist back. It toppled, almost falling onto him but, he quickly had leaped off and twisted around to pierce its throat. The coyote though, thrashed its head around making it almost impossible to get to the neck but, he had to try. Diving in, he clawed and ripped flesh until the beast went limp. He looked at the dead creature and back at the three he was protecting. A smile crept across his bloodied maw as he limped back to the small group. His leg was burning with pain but, he could manage it.

Mothdusk groaned as cats dragged her over to Otterstone, her pain was coming back. She had a large gash on her side, plus many smaller scratches and bite wounds. Most of the blood on her face had dried, hiding the wound on her head from being slammed into a rock and her sides still heaved for air that she couldn't draw in. She tasted blood first, then choking up some of it on the short grass before her. She drew in a breath and let her heaving sides return to a normal breathing state.

Otterstone gazed around her at the cat's who had come to help, the cats that needed healing, and the new coyotes coming to attack her and her wards.


Her mind started to whirl. This was too much, she was too new.


No. She could do this.



She took mental note of who around her was still able to fight the new wave of coyotes.



Otterstone would work as quickly as she could.



"Goosepaw, no shape to fight. Chew this into a paste for me." She pushed all of her golden rod at the young cat. "Spit it next to the cobwebs."

Emberfang had come awake, the bleeding on his stomach had slowed.


Otterstone hissed at one of the coyotes that got too close, slashing with long curved claws at it's face, causing it to jump a few fox lengths away. Enough to buy them a few more minutes.



Mothdusk next. She was unconscious but she couldn't see what injuries the she cat had except for the blood on her forehead. She lapped at the blood, cleaning it away from the injury, adding a dab of her cobwebs. She was knocked out, but she didn't seem to need any urgent medical care.



Fennelnose would need healing, but he was outside of her protective circle. She looked at the warriors around her, then at Owlflight. "I need Fennelnose." She said to noone in particular, claws raking at the dirt.

Halfstone had immediately run to go help Brightwhisker when Lionstar shouted the order. As he neared and saw someone else help, a searing pain went through his tail as a coyote snapped at it and pulled, dragging Halfstone with it.

Spotting the coyote "I'll take care of that beast for you otterstone. Just say the word " he meowed . Eager to fight.

The tabby tom nodded and dragged Fennelnose back into the protective circle. Setting the cat down gently he asked, "What do you want me to do." The barrier of cats was solid enough for Owlflight to help Otterstone, eitherway, he wasn't fit to fight anymore since the coyote had bit his leg.

Otterstone half opened her mouth to tell him that she could handle herself. But paused. That wasn't her job anymore.

The tortoiseshell watched the appretice, then gave him a savage grin. "Bring me his tail for my den."

wow for a medicine cat, she's awesome ! he grinned back "done . " he meowed before dashing at the beast and bit it's lower right leg. Causing the monster to yelp. With him hissing and snarling the whole time. [ open for help! ]

Emberfang awoke from his sleep with a jolt. "W-what's going on?!" "Are there more coyotes?!" Emberfang tried to get up but ended up falling back down. "I-I think there's something wrong with my leg!" All of Emberfang wanted to get up and fight, but he was too injured. [ @CheetahPelt ]

Nodding, he quickly swept the goldenrod into his jaws and began to chew. The taste wasn't actually as awful as he had been expecting. Mild, with sort of a bitter aftertaste, but not that bad.
His heart pounding, he spat the newly made poultice next to the cobwebs laced over the wounded cat's injury. Was he doing it right? How would he know? He was tempted to rub it in, but had no idea the effect it would have, and he didn't want to touch a wound with dirty paws and risk infecting it. "Done," he said to Otterstone, almost breathlessly, as if the healing was more nervewracking than the battle itself.
