It was kinda embarrassing to get lost on your own territory.
I was taking a nice walk, enjoying the sun.
but then I guess I walked farther then I was supposed'ta.

MistDapple would flick her ear as she looked the leader in the eyes.

Lionstar twitched his ears at her explanation. "Well.. just try to not do that again, I'm sure there's plenty of kits who'd be very upset if their favorite elder disappeared on them again." He gave her a small wink. "Why don't you pay them a visit once you've settled in? I think they'd appreciate it."

Lightfeather padded into camp, fur in large clumps. It was filthy, moss and dirt all up in it. Everyone's gonna notice, she thought grimly. But what she was really worried about is the fact that Softpaw might catch sight of her, or maybe Lionstar. Whatever. It's not like I can do anything about it, Lightfeather thought once more.

Pain was blistering along the mollies back as she padded into camp. Exhaustion was clouding her gaze, but she was no weakling. "Oi! Anyone going to welcome me back, ya spacey fish-faces?" Step one, make a glamorous exit. Step two, come back with the same pizzazz. Ah, Riverclan! Home! Rebellion against treacherous Shadowclan, and their flea-ridden leader, Icestar! How she missed this. Maybe that hawk was a good thing, showed her what Ravenpaw was missing out on. Yet, here she was! Back with her insults, spectacular beauty, and..... Leader-who-didn't-know-where-she-was-and-why-she-was-out-of-camp.

Yeah, Lionstar wasn't impressed with her return. He'd been not far from the camp entrance when she waltz in like she owned the place and that only left a sour taste in his mouth. "With an introduction like that, I'm not sure anyone would want to welcome you back, Ravenpaw." If it was supposed to be funny or cute, it fell flat. "Where have you been, anyway?" His voice tapered into a dangerous edge, because they both knew she shouldn't have left to begin with.

Ravenpaw resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Why couldn't Lionstar ever learn to take a joke? "Making small-talk with a hawk. How's your day been?" She sat down, almost awkwardly, and flashed the tom a grin. What a fun adventure, she'd had. Getting carried off, fighting off a hawk, and, now, getting grilled by her leader. What trust issues. "No need to look so angry, lighten up!" This.. wasn't helping her situation, wasn't it? Well, if Lionstar couldn't handle her amazing humor, that was his problem.

See, Lionstar could appreciate good humor. Unfortunately this wasn't it. Not when it was coming from a cat with a history of deception and he hadn't heard anything good from her mentor. He could see the dried blood on her back, the small puncture wounds indicative of a bird-- so he figured she was likely telling the truth, though he couldn't say he was happy to see her.

"Find Bumblebelly, then see Otterstone or Fawnsqueak for your injuries." His voice was a low growl. "He should be made aware of your return.. and don't think your little hawk excursion means your restrictions are lifted."

Tail lashing, he turned to pad off. He had other things to deal with.

Nighttuft rushed back into camp, happy to finally be back. The she padded over to Lionstar and meowed: "I'm back. I got lost."
