Thorn'claw flicked his amber gaze at his leader, to be honest he hadn't known there were dogs on SC territory. Deciding it was better help fight instead of hanging back like a complete craven he stood and lashed his tail, waiting for the meeting to be called off.

Blind? Deaf? Gorsesong slowly started disliking this Leader more and more with every meeting. He knew he'd be able to trample those dogs with a little tussling, though, so he volunteered. "I'll go." At least it was one less cat away from having to be picked personally by Dawnstar. He didn't want to have the probability of her picking him; she'd probably pick the cats she'd hope would die, and he didn't want to find out who.



Nightfur

Nightfur hated times like these. He never liked when Dawnstar spoke like she could fight the dogs she spoke of all by herself. It was irritating, but it seemed to get cats' attention; some volunteered to join the dog hunting instantly. He had to think about it for a moment, though. His mind suddenly went to Larkwing; was she going?

frogpaw stepped forward with pride. it was time, he would be a warrior. he would be able to leave camp without others asking what he was doing and he could have an apprentice. his dad could be proud as well. things where going well. and now he could prove himself as a new warrior! whenever i can i would like to go and help he said to dawnstar. he didnt know what he could and couldnt do the first night/day of being a warrior. he would kill any cat or dog that harmed his clan.

Darktiger didnt like the sound of these dogs roaming her territory but she was not sure about going or not her and Fleetwhisker were just startting to get along. She wasnt sure but thought maybe she could prove herself

Quailpaw exhaled, his breath shaky. Dogs. Not dogs again. Those freaking creatures on his Clan's territory? Anger boiled thick under the surface of his pelt. But at the same time, terror trembled in his paws, and one careless thought might tip him over the edge into one emotion or another. Dogs had torn his family, his friends, his everyone into tiny, tiny shreds that could never be repaired. But he would not let dogs threaten him again. Not his Clan. Not anyone.

His ghost of a bobtail thrashed restlessly as he teetered on the edge of decision. On one paw, this was the perfect opportunity to prove to Dawnstar his newfound- he grit his teeth. Loyalty. On the other, however, he would never, never live it down if he froze up right at the paws of one of the beasts just because of his boo-hoo kithood trauma. Never mind living it down- he'd probably die before he got the chance.

It was now or never. Steeling his nerve, he let his voice ring out loud and clear in the clearing. "I'll go! I-I'll fight the dogs." He may be a coward but he wasn't a weak one. He reckoned if living would be a problem, he could at least share it with the dogs, as well. I'm small but I'm strong. Here's a chance I can't resist to finally, really protect my clan.

Ah, dogs was it? Now that was of some interest. The sadistic grin twisted further across Grimhound's face as the large tabby flexed his unsheathed claws into the dirt, imagining they were tearing apart flesh instead of soil. He'd fought a dog or two during his days back in the city, and knew exactly what kind of creatures Dawnstar was referring to. Hunting dogs, he'd heard them called - specifically trained by their no-furs to hunt and retrieve prey for them because the stupid, mindless creatures couldn't hunt for themselves.

"Count me in, peach," the scarred tom called from where he sat, his gruff tone carrying his voice up to where Dawnstar was perched. He shot her a wink, unknown to anyone around and subtle enough that only she would notice it - if she did at all. Half of him expected her to outright ignore the sentiment, but it would be oh so entertaining for him if it got a rise out of her.

His ears swiveled over to catch his apprentice offering to go as well - good. Sounds like not all of ShadowClan's young were as dull and cloud-brained as Dawnstar made them out to be. Perhaps that tom could actually be of some use - what with the combination of the molly leading the Clan and Grimhound training him.

A chill ran down Maplepaw's spine as Dawnstar began berating the crowd. The leader's fierce attitude had her wondering whether she should help out with the dogs or not. Of course, she had almost no battle training - her absent mentor certainly hadn't helped her - but it seemed to be either that, or get ripped apart by Dawnstar. At least the dogs would make it quick.

Dogs? Of course she would help! They can't go and attack her Clan!
When Dawnstar announced that two new warriors would be made today, Hopepelt immedietely got excited.
