"Tranquil." She replied with a smile. "Things have been going very nicely this quartermoon. For me, at least." She paused to breathe, and then blinked sympathetically at Eveninglight. "How are things going for you?"

"Okay," Sootkit said, readying herself to jump in the pond. Splash! "This is nice water!" She said, purring. She tried rubbing her pelt to get some of the dirt off, and the black of her coat started coming off. "What's happening?" She said worriedly. "Is my coat not black?" Apparently it isn't, Sootkit thought. When she got out of the stream, her fur was long and silvery and sort of tannish, but most importantly, shiny! "Woah," she said, looking at her reflection in the stream, "I look..."
