He was correct in assuming there'd be more bugs further away. Copperfire scoops out a beautiful butterfly. He smiles softly and throws it up into the air, watching as it flutters away. The red tabby remembers the existence of other cats and quickly schools his expression into something more serious. This has been a great day for finding bugs, he kept an eye out for other creepy crawlies coming his way, but he was satisfied with all that he had found, deciding to enjoy the rest of his time there watching the beautiful surrounding scenery.

She stalked twords a beetle scutling over a leaf. It wasn't the golden bee, but it would get her some points. The betle crawled of the leaf. Now was her chance! She pounced and caught the beetle. [Thunderpaw's score is 4!]

Hawkice grumbled in annoyance as a bug he didn't want to catch, confused him, and he accidentally touched it. he sighed. Oh well.

A centipede on the loose, running from the cops, bumped into you. In your panic it stole 5 points.

Fiercefire purred happily as he caught the highest-scoring bug, a butterfly. He saw his son doing well too.

It wasn't a butterfly this time but it was the next best. Lynxpaw was satisfied with his catch of a beetle.

Willowbriar was still slightly traumatized from the centipede that had startled her earlier. She slowed down a bit as she padded through the field. The lean molly smiled as she took in the many bugs around her. One in particular caught her eye. A firefly! She hadn't seen many of those before. She loved how it glowed softly in the shadow of the plants it scuttled under. Laughing a little, she chased it, batting it about. Finally, she pounced on it. Wow, it really was beautiful. Like a little sun. With a sigh, she let the beautiful creature go. Hopefully it would brighten someone else's day as it had her's. On to the next bug!

Ah, there it was! To her left! A soft glow in the many shadows of the forest. It scuttled on a tree trunk. A firefly! How pretty! Storm trotted over, nearly tripping and falling on her face. Her light green eyes watched it, fascinated as it flew unto the ground. She attempted to pounce on it and observe it closer, but she tripped, accidently sitting on it. When she got up, all that was left was a smushed blob. Oops. Looking away guilty, the long haired cat walked away to find her next critter.

As she watched the bank, Poppythroat noticed another creature. This one had more legs than the firefly she'd seen before. A centipede. How interesting. She curiously watched the creature. The way it moved was so intriguing. Also beautiful in a way. She suddenly imagined how cats would look like with a long body and many legs. A small smile appeared on her face. How amusing. With a small grunt, she turned away from the bug, glancing around for another.

As the butterfly came into his grasp, Snakebite purred. Now he was getting somewhere.

Birchwind smiled. He was happy with catching the butterfly. It was nearly the best to catch. He'd gotten two so far as well!

Swiftpaw noticed the cats around him catching great bugs, and so far he'd only caught two beetles, but he didn't mind too much

The molly, although disgusted by her previous catch, was happy with the beetle. At least it was better than a disgusting centipede.

Oh, it seemed he had good fortune! His paw successfully smacked down on the creepy crawly, revealing it was a beetle that had been sneaking around in the grass! It wasn't quite as eye-catching as his last two catches, but Nectarinekit liked it's shiny shell. In fact, now that he was paying attention, it appeared that the shell almost changed color as it moved in the sunlight, depending on how the light reflected. Ok, maybe the beetle was cooler that he thought. The fluffy calico wondered what other cool bugs might be hiding around, and decided to dive into the next patch of grass to find out.

Gloomkit score: 3

Blizzardsky lept in the air and killed a butterfly and was satisfied with the catch. But still looking for more bugs.

Gloomkit launched herself in the air watching the flying light and sprung up and to her surprise she actually caught and happily squished the glowing bug watching the light fade from it.
