Sparrowpaw watched fervently as Bloodtooth slowly faded away and into the real world. She drew in a sharp breath and chuckled sinisterly. Her mentor sure was gullible if he truly did think Sparrowpaw didn't want to be here.

A toothy grin twisted Sparrowpaw's muzzle as she gazed around at her mizzled surroundings. She was here - in the Place of No Stars - at last! She could finally begin her training; she could finally rank above all her inadequate den-mates in the real world!

Morningsorrow leaped down from the tree she had been sitting in, landing in front of the apprentice. The she-cats tortoiseshell coat was free of the mud that covered the ground.
" I'm glad that he's gone, what an inconvenience" she would state calmly.

Sparrowpaw started as an unusually calm voice spoke close to her. "Oh!" she gasped, turning to see a tortoiseshell she-cat land neatly from the tree and in the mud.

She quickly shook off the queasy feeling of dread that lurched within her and straightened. "Hi," she mewed smoothly, though her voice was a bit wobbly with fear. "I'm Sparrowpaw, a new... trainee...here." Sparrowpaw puffed out her chest.

Seedcrush spotted an apprentice who was alway here at night to train. "Hello there, I have a quest for you." Seedcrush meowed.

Her blue eyes glimmered with grief, grief that was raw despite being seasons old, My kits, they could've have been apprentices just like her, they could've been great warriors she thought with hate for Starclan sharper then claws. I'm Morningsorrow, your mentor she said with a smile

"What?!" Berrypaw asked, slightly irked. She was waiting for someone to show up and train her. Nursery tales sometimes spoke of cats who were summoned into the Dark Forest to be trained by the evil spirits of dead cats. Ever since she had helped murder Bubblingbee, she had been appearing here in her dreams. Though no cat had shown up to train her yet. But she doubted this cat was here to train her. He smelled like ThunderClan. He probably wasn't even dead yet. "Can't you see I'm busy waiting, mouse-brain?" She growled a little bit, but waited for the cat to explain what his quest was.

"Your quest is tell your mentor that Seedcrush has found an apprentice he is interesting in bringing to choo-choo train." he smirked, "Will that be too hard for you?"

"And why should I do that?" Berrypaw's eyes flashed with mischief. She would compete the task, but she was gonna mess around with this warrior first. After all, this wasn't RiverClan anymore. This was the Dark Forest. She could tease and bully all she wanted and she wouldn't get in trouble for it. "What makes you worthy enough to ask me--the great Berrypaw--to do your dirty work?" She sneered, waiting to see how the warrior would react.
