Blackpaw heard a Maude and this time he followed his instincts, he climbed higher until he reached the top of the tree. I can’t dye here anyways. he thought as he scanned for his mentor.

Weaselblaze slunk towards the cat very stealthily. She kept to the bushy branches to stay out of sight. But she couldn’t find Blackpaw! Where had the apprentice gone to? Was he trying to get an upper hand on her? She wouldn’t let him.

Blackpaw quickly countered by jumping away before trying to punch on her back to land some hits to her head. “I’ve got a great teacher.” he grunted.

Weaselblaze smirked. They were on a branch, so the back move would not work out well for Blackpaw. She fell limp and tumbled to the ground. Blackpaw would cushion the fall for her and he would walk away with an injury.
Blackpaw would have to think about such things if he wanted to be great
