She shrugged, wrapping her tail aeound her with a small flick to wake it up. "Nothing much, trying to find something to do mostly." glancing to the camp exit for a moment, thinking she saw someone come in, she shrugged it off and turned back to Skypelt. "What about you, what are you up to?"

Darkpaw sat, stunned into silence. What? Why didn't Flintstar take me as his apprentice? He was going to, that must have been his plan! The black tom was close to tears.

Was it something I did?

No. Flintstar was just putting other's interests before his own, as usual! Maybe all the warriors wanted me to be their apprentice REALLY BAD just like he did so he was selfless and let Dragonflysong have me! Yes, that must be it! Back to his happy self, Darkpaw grinned up at his new mentor and blatantly stated; "Hi! I'm the deputy-in-training. You must be my mentor!"

Then he remembered- He was Darkpaw now. Huh. I guess it was just to make me sound cooler. 'Darkstar' does have a ring to it! And maaaaaybe he's giving me my deputy and leader ceremony later so that I'll have more experience!

Experience. Oh, Darkpaw could only imagine what fun battles would be- he'd be the biggest, strongest, most toughest warrior around! Deep in his imagination, he could see it; Darkdeputy- yes, that would be his warrior name, because he was going to be deputy from the start- Darkdeputy was throwing cats around, knocking them out with a single blow, winning the whole battle all by himself! Oh, but look, one of those mangy Windclan cats had Flintstar! He bounded over and threw the mangy thing off of him and carried the leader back to camp, with cheers rising up from his clanmates; 'Darkdeputy! Darkdeputy! Darkdeputy!' And- and then Flintstar looked up and said; 'You mean Darkstar!" And BAM he was leader, but with more credibility than the original plan!

Perfect! Darkpaw thought to himself. Life is gonna be even better than I thought!

A large brownish black tom sat right outside the warriors den. His eyes wondered the camp clearing watching a group of kits play outside the nursery. Bearfuzz let out a purr as one playfully pawed at a leaf. He stood up and walked over to the fresh kill pile and pulled out a vole. He hadn't hunted today, so this prey wasn't for him.

The tom took a mouse out as well and padded over to the nursery. He walked in and came back out with the mouse. Bearfuzz walked over to the elders den to drop the last prey off before heading back over to his spot. He wanted to go hunting, but didn't like going alone, so he waited.

"Does anybody want to go hunting with me?", he called.

Luckily, Buckbranch didn't have long to wait to do so.

Sunsnow was scanning the clearing for that traitorous tom, fur prickling with worry. I should never have taken my eyes off of him! He's probably spilled our secrets to the enemy clans already! Oh, Starclan, what if- He cut his thoughts off when he spotted a certain dark pelt outside of the leader's den.

He sighed with relief, allowing himself to relax, then tensed once more when the annoying burr looked around for something- an exit? Cats watching him so he can be sure it's safe to sneak out? Well, not on my watch! You aren't going anywhere, idiot.

Sunsnow bounded over to Buckbranch and sat next to him, giving the poor tom a sneer. I know what you're up to, Buttercup.

And I won't allow it.

With a sigh she shurgged. "Mind if I join you? I don't have anything better to do." She replied, tensing her muscles to get up if told yes.

"I have had a talk with Icestar, at our last gathering, and formed an alliance with Shadowclan." Flintstar announced, delving right into the subject. He waited a moment to let those words sink into his clanmembers, before continuing, rising his voice if needs be. "She has requested Thunderclan's help in putting Riverclan in their place. And in return, she will help Thunderclan with our dispute with Windclan." The black-furred tomcat flicked his tail behind him, a large, triumphant grin crossing his face. This is what his clan needed. An alliance to keep them from sitting on the sidelines any longer. Thunderclan was no longer a neutral clan. They now had things to settle, and an alliance to be a part of. "Now, that being said, if you find a Shadowclan cat on our land, they are most likely a messenger from Icestar. Please do escort them to camp, and we will be less hostile towards Shadowclanners for now, with this alliance." He eyed his clanmembers as he finished, trying to see if he could decipher which ones were wary of this plan and which ones were excited. "I will be increasing border patrols along all of our borders, as we haven't been keeping up with those lately. And I would also like regular battle training to be going on, and Buckbranch will be in charge of regulating that." He glanced down at his deputy, trying to gauge the tomcat's reaction to this news. It was news to every cat in his clan.

She nodded and got up, starting to head towards the entrance. "Ready when you are," she called, thinking maybe she could get some hunting done for the clan while she was out. Better than nothing.
