Would he be reassigned again? Goldenpaw couldn't help the frown that crept onto his maw at the thought. He still had no clue where Smallwing was.

All the names being spoken blurred in his mind. Though he recognized them, he'd always had a frustratingly difficult time putting faces to names. At the sound of his own, he blinked and looked up from where his gaze had drifted. Pignut was his new mentor? The golden-furred apprentice stood and glanced around, hoping to spot them somewhere.

His wonderings about his previous mentor were answered with what Twilightstar said next. A quiet sigh left him. He wasn't surprised, really, and he couldn't say he was that upset at her passing (they'd never actually trained together), but it was still sad to have lost a member of the Clan. The others, as well—his ear flicked in recognition of Tulippaw's name, and he was briefly reminded of that scene he'd borne witness to in the clearing.

Cedarpaw smiled warmly towards Hawksprint. In the corner of her eye, she saw Owlkit do some weird movements.
Huh? She watched as Owlkit started flapping his arms around and bouncing. Bird? Birds don't bounce... Rabbit? Frog? She gave a confused look at Owlkit. "You want me to catch a Rabbit and give it to you?"
She turned to Hawksprint to see if he had any idea what Owlkit was trying to say.

Owlkit's ears pinned back in hurt confusion. He was so sure she would understand him. Guess Cedarpaw wasn't as in tune with him as he thought. He became discouraged by her reaction; how could he communicate with others if his own sister had trouble understanding him?

He shook his head at her. I said frog, frog! Not rabbit! He didn't like rabbits! They were too stringy and tough. Frogs were softer and juicier.

He repeated his 'frog' sign from earlier, trying to get her to understand. His jaw opened as if to mouth the word to her, but instead opened and closed uselessly, mimicking what he thought a talking cat would do.

Whispery breaths escaped him, the only sound he was able to make since birth. The only sound he would ever make until death.

“Scalescar!” Mousefern cheered, lifting her nose to hopefully boost the chanting of the newly appointed warrior’s name. Ah, a warrior ceremony–another very important milestone in a cat’s life. It made a warmth blossom within her chest, just thinking about her own warrior ceremony…

With a content smile on her face and a purr rumbling in her chest, she watched the rest of the meeting in silence until the mention of Windclan’s losses came up. The warmth in her chest disappeared completely, leaving her feeling.. Cold?

She dipped her head, taking a moment of silence to respect the clan’s losses.

Cedarpaw noticed Owlkit's strange change of happy behavior. She regretted not understanding what he said, she wanted Owlkit to be happy.

"Oh erm- not a Rabbit.." She thought about what else was there to eat. "A bird? Rat? Mole? Mouse? "

The deputy puffed up as Scalepaw earned his warrior name, Scalescar, cheering for him along with the new apprentices. "Scalescar! Scalescar!"

A rush of sorrow came but didn't linger long as the clan had to move on, celebrating those that remained. Their fallen may be gone, but they'd never be forgotten. She was pleased to hear a few more calls of their newest warrior's name, still, it could use some work.

She noticed Tigerpaw's crestfallen face, Twilightstar would deal with her and her other son, Beastpaw, as soon as she was done with this announcement. She had not forgotten about her. Both apprentices were past the age limit Twilightstar allowed apprentices to be. Unlike the cats who simply returned to the clan too old to be named paws and never finished their training due to having been missing, both Tigerpaw and Beastpaw have had ample time to train and earn their warrior names. If she didn't address this sooner rather than later, she was worried about what example they'd set for other apprentices.

"WindClan," Twilightstar shoot to her paws, tail raised high over her head for silence as she carried on with the last few things she had to say. "Since we're in a new territory the land itself is a bit unfamiliar. There are a few new landmarks that I'd like to visit with you all. Think of it as a small territory tour to familiarize yourself with our new home." Twilightstar was sure some of the cats had already located the new landmarks, but enough for her to be comfortable with. She was sure someone would get lost around here.

"This tour is open to all of the cats in the clan, so long as I get enough warriors who wish to join me, I'll be taking the kits as well." Though Twilightstar was still very wary of the birds of prey that scoured the sky, she had already explored the territory and was certain there were stray foxes or badgers in the area at the moment. She doubted the predators of the sky would try to steal any cats if they moved in a large enough group.

"Those of you who want to come along with me, come gather at my paws. I'll take you out as soon as I'm done with this meeting. Those of you who would rather stay at camp, feel free to do so." Of course, she couldn't leave the camp unguarded so couldn't take everyone. She was hoping this would be a fun little trip and bonding experience for the cats in the clan. It was needed after everything they'd been through.

"We also have some events plans, Cowtuft has come to me with a grand idea to help apprentices earn their warrior names. He proposes we hold a Training Camp for the apprentices. Apprentices will have the opportunity to go through multiple different types of training in the event. Hunting, battling, and borders will be the primary focus of the training camp. However, before such an event can be held it needs to be organized, and of course, we need warriors willing to lend a paw to teach different lessons. If any warrior is interested in helping out with such an event, speak to Cowtuft." She was hoping warriors stepped up to help out with the event. As it was if they didn't get enough warriors to help out they couldn't hold the event.

"The second event planned would be something of a field day for WindClan's kits. Our kit curriculum has been halted due to the move and other troubling situations, now that we have a new home it's time we start teaching our kits again. Although instead of holding a bunch of repeated lessons on different days, I want to try doing lessons with one large group of kits. I believe it'd be less time-consuming, repetitive, and quite frankly more entertaining for the kits who had trouble sitting still for too long. I will allow any cat ranked above a kit to come up with an activity that teaches some sort of lesson or imparts knowledge to our youngest clanmates. If this interest you or you have something in mind, come speak to me about it. I am interested in seeing what kind of creative ideas you come up with." The WindClan leader hoped this generated some interest in both events amongst the clan.

"Depending on how the field day event goes, if it goes, I'll try to hold a new field day every other moon or so, that way our kits looking forward to being apprentices will be able to do so in a timely manner. I can not say the same for the Training Camp since WindClan has more than enough mentors who are supposed to be doing their job and training our apprentices." The field day for kits was one thing, but she didn't want mentors relying on the training camp to do their job for them.

Twilightstar had no intention of removing mentors from the clan, lifelong bonds were built off the one on one training apprentices shared with their mentors. Some meant little, but a lot of these bonds were special. It'd be a crying shame to take that away from apprentices. But if she had to continue with so many reassignments and apprentices lacking the knowledge of simple hunting techniques or where they were in their own territory, she might have to. But she really didn't want to.

"Meeting dismissed." The WindClan leader cried, ending her announcements but didn't move from her place beside the roots of the Galewood. Twilightstar was waiting to see who'd accompany her on the mini territory tour.

"Beastpaw and Lynxyowl, I would like to see you both in my den, not right this second, but when you have a moment. Tigerpaw, you'll need to drop by and visit me as well." Twilightstar politely demands. She couldn't do it right now, but she'd need to speak to both paws as soon as she got the chance.
