Sparrowprowl paused at the entrance to the apprentice's den, his eyes looking at the handiwork of the den itself before nervously peering inside the darkened space. He hadn't had an apprentice in a very long time it felt, and the last one he had disappeared. Not only that, but he was terrified of messing up, getting Icestar to yowl at him, to mess up the young cats life some how. He didn't want that, but his mind tended to come to those sorts of outcomes. So it was best to start getting into regular training sessions. At the moment, the most they have done was go out on a border patrol and get attacked by a fox. Sighing, he shook his head and entered.
"Er, Midnightpaw, are you here? If you are, I figured we could get some training in.. " Just like usual, his voice was soft and delicate, like a wind whispering through the trees. He was still audible of course, but it sounded as if you could physically break his voice.
Awkwardly the black and white tom with the bobbed tail would stand there, inside of the apprentices den, eyes glancing between the apprentices that were still in the den, looking for his own.

Nightkit stayed silent, contemplating her mother's words. "talk like you're talking to Honeykit and Minkkit?" she thougt, repeating those words in her head. Her mother was right, yet it was easier said than done.
She looked up as Fennelkit ran over to Fawnpetal; she watched the both of them as she was trying to think of something good to say to maybe start up a conversation, but it was difficult.

Citrusflower was awake in her nest waiting for the apprentice Hailstorm had assigned for her to put to work until he could behave. Her nest needed to be cleaned out and she was hungry. The blind molly scented the air, trying to catch his scent. She didn't catch his scent at all so she settled down in her nest.

The forever queen wished he would show up, so he didn't get in trouble for not helping her. She didn't like it when young cats got in trouble.

"Maybe I should do it myself.", she muttered underneath her breath. Citrusflower looked at the entrance with her eyeless face. She sniffed the air, hoping to scent him one last time.

Owlfeather had wanted to check in on her daughter to see how she was faring in the nursery. She didn't want to visit empty-pawed, so she brought in a small bird from the fresh-kill pile. It was a measly little thing, but it was better than nothing, especially this time of year.

"Citrusflower, dear? Are you in here?" She called out as she pressed her way into the tightly-woven den. She was glad to see that the reinforcements she'd placed on it moons ago were still holding up well.

Minkkit had fallen asleep with the mouse still in his paws. When he heard there was a new kit in the nursery, he'd known exactly what to do.

The little tom hopped up, grabbing the mouse in his jaws and trotted over to Fennelkit.

"Hey there, I'm Minkkit! Want some?"

Cricketpaw's dozing was interrupted by the soft sounds of sobbing. Annoyed, he lifted his head and looked around for the source of the disturbance. He most certainly wasn't concerned for whichever clanmate might be sobbing, or at least that's what he told himself. Stretching a front leg, he finally spotted Warmpaw, curled up and sobbing. His ears went slightly askew as he considered, then he sighed and stood, going to her side. Keeping a bit of distance between himself and the she-cat, he hesitated. Normal conversations were hard enough. Cricketpaw was not equipped to comfort others.

"Warmpaw?" he finally ventured, crouching to get a better look at her. "Need me to fetch Bearpaw or something?"

"Oh, you were?" The old mother purred, dropping the prey at her daughter's paws. "I brought you something to eat; I figured you must be hungry in here. How has it been, tending to all these kits?" She looked around, seeing the other queen and the bundle of little kittens romping around. She was sure that this other queen was grateful to have Citrusflower's help.
