Eagleflower watched the apprentice in interest, eyes flickering as he got ready to fish out the small creature. He was doing good so far. If he needed help, he would, but He probably wasn't the best at doing so.

From there I'm fine with you taking time to swim at your own pace, as long as you're with a more experienced apprentice, me, or another warrior until you're far enough in your training not to need supervision to swim." the warrior paddled back to the level that Harepaw was swimming at. He shook the cold water from himself. While it was new-leaf it was still pretty early on and the temperature was still cool most days.

"Once you've got the basic's with swimming down we can move of to combat, in in land and in water, easier to unbalance a cat from another clan in the water since they don't like it."

Finally, a fish got close enough. They tried to catch a fish, flicking their paw, ending up biting it to catch it.

Harepaw kept paddling, getting the hang of swimming. “Isn’t it easier to unbalance them because their fur doesn’t support water?”

"Good thought." The warrior said. " And while that is a factor, they also are unused to the slippery pebbles and sand under paw while in the water."

Harepaw started paddling closer to Brightwhisker. “What do you think my warrior name will be?” He was bored of talking about other clan weaknesses.

Taking the sudden change in topic for what it was the tom gave an amused chuckle as the apprentice swam towards him.

“Anything, as long as it’s not Haretail,” he mewed. “Otherwise I’ll be recognized only by my tail,” he joked.

"Yeah, I guess that would be a bit on the nose." he hummed. "But your name could be literally anything, and Lionstar seems to detest bad names." the warrior grinned at the thought.



"Apparently, a missing warrior came back sometime ago and Loinstar thought her name ridiculous and changed it."
