Russet paws padding through the clearing, russet pelt bristling amid some sort of callous emotion, the burly Molly’s gait had been leisurely, stalking, cold. Catching sight of the apprentice before her, a sneer contorts her features, feathery tail lashing about in annoyance.

Gaze narrowing, she proffers to the youngster no greeting, merely flicking her ears downward in disapproval. A growl rumbles amid her throat as she meows to him, “Hunting or combat, kit?”

"Combat." replied Birchpaw, taking no notice to his mentor's gruffness. He was eager to learn some battle moves. "Shall we go to the apprentice's training hollow?" @Brightspot

“Hunting it is, then,” Copperhoney quips, booming timbre laced with agitation. Whiskers twitching, the warrior proffers to her apprentice an aggravated sort-of snarl, peering gaze scrutinizing his every movement. “Here’s your first lesson as an apprentice, kit; you don’t always get what you want.”

Leaping from her haunches, the molly flicks her tail, signaling for Birchpaw to accompany her as she trots off towards the territory.

Mistyfern quirked a brow at Bearpaw and then at Irispaw. That was unexpected. But it also wasn't any of his business. If this was all they were going to talk about, then he wanted no part of it. Maybe he'd come back later when they were done having their own discussion. "Guess that's my cue to leave." The tom lifted himself to his paws with a grunt and turned toward the exit.

Irispaw huffed in relief at the tom's first repky, relieved that Thunderhowl hadn't meant what she had supposed he had. You're just getting ahead, Irispa-aw... nope. She was right. But this has to be a joke, right?
"Look, Tallmarsh isn't useless, she's just...busy." She argued, surprised that the tom would have suggested such a thing. And a Shadowclanner? Uh... "I cant, I just- hey, this is just a joke, isn't it?" She asked, cocking her head. She turned at Mistyfern's grand exit gesture, and felt her stomach fall. This was real. This wasn't a joke.
"It...isn't a joke, is it?" She mewed softly. Her pelt shuddered. How could they think this? That Tallmarsh had done such an awful job? That they were offering her this? And even worse, she wanted to accept. How selfish of her! But she couldn't. She couldn't hurt the cats in her life she loved so dearly.

Thunderhowl didn't really get her earlier comment but he didn't care, frankly. He didn't mis-speak even if she thought he did.

"Busy doin' what?" he asked Irispaw, upfront. "You've hardly been trained anythin', she's delayed on treatin' patients, and she's hardly around her Clan in general. It ain't like she's off doin' somethin' productive, kid-- she's downright neglectful of you and her duties and it's detrimental to your life. Don't let her take advantage of you no more."

To Mistyfern, he gave him a nod. "Expect a visit from me soon. We'll work on demonstrations then."

The sun was setting in the horizon and the dark brown tom was trying to feel the warmth of the last rays of the sun. It still remained leafbare, a season that the tom not particular enjoyed as it made his scars and bubbly skin ache with pain and made moving a nuisance that he would rather be without. Leachie stared at the pines that was at the edge of the clearing, the needles swaying softly in the wind that blew over the clearing just above his head. He sighed and curled further up on the small ledge that he had found as his sunning spot for this short hour of sunlight. It was rare that his skin wasn't acting up but the former rogue took relief from that fact. He would enjoy every single painless day that came with it. Narrowing his eyes he looked around and sighed, he wasn't in a particularly good mood, not that he ever really was in a good mood to start off with anyway.

Standing up from his ledge he reached out with his frontpaws and bowed down for a long stretch that sent the fur across his back rippling like waves as he finished his stretch. That was when the pain started to set in and he felt the blood rushing like it was burning him, his blood acting up again from the incident that now seemed many many moons away. Being betrayed wasn't exactly something he enjoyed, nor was it a trait that he seemed to have inherited himself. He was just a pain to everyone, including himself, and he had an attitude. That was it. Or so he thought. Jumping down from the ledge he felt the ache in his shoulders and looked on his left shoulder to spot the burns. His entire left flank had a run in with fire and the bubbly skin and blisters were luckily covered with his long and thick fur that he grew out every leafbare. Heading towards the freshkill pile the large tom did not pay any attention to his surroundings...

Snowclaw was just coming back from a walk in the territory. He had to admit, it was a bit chilly—and the bare trees only made the wind worse—but his thick coat protected him somewhat. At least, enough for him to enjoy his walk. The tom’s face stung from the biting leaf-bare wind, and as soon as he got back into camp he began to look for a sunning spot to warm himself up in the weak sunlight. He spotted a newly-opened spot, a ledge right in the sun, and moved to go that way. He was so focused on snatching up that spot that he nearly didn’t notice Leachie in time, almost head-butting him in the process.

Instead, the white and gray tom jumped out of the way and accidentally stepped on his Clanmate’s foot. He stopped and looked at the tom with a seemingly blank stare, not saying anything. He was just looking at him. Snowclaw had never seen this cat before. He must’ve been new. He noted the tom’s few visible scars and the unmistakable expression of pain on his face. After what seemed to be an eternity, the warrior gave a gruff, “Sorry.” He wasn’t sure what else to say. Was it even his fault? He did step on this tom’s foot, but at the same time, he was in the way. But then again, Snowclaw wasn’t paying attention. He decided not to think too much about it and instead let his Classmate decide. He hoped that this tom didn't think he was stuck up or rude because of his actions. After all, he was a cat of few words.

"I'm not joking, Irispaw." Bearpaw reassured, frowning at her uncertainty. "I'm still somewhat adjusting to the ShadowClan life myself, so it would be nice to have someone else to do it with me. I promise to include you in everything I do as a medicine cat, and if I'm not available, then I'm sure Thunderhowl won't mind assisting you."

Bearpaw nodded at Thunderhowl's comment. "If Tallmarsh wanted to include you in her life, she'd take you everywhere with her...nobody should be too busy for their apprentice, in my opinion. It does you no good sittin' around on your tail waiting for her all day either, right?"

When Mistyfern exited the den, Bearpaw made sure to wave his tail goodbye to the older medicine cat. "Oh, see ya later."
