Aspensky returned from his impromptu patrol and searched the clearing for his son in order to give the report. It seemed the deputy was returning from his own patrol at the same time and Aspensky quickly padded over.

“Sootflare! I noticed one of your patrols was missing a participant so I decided to tag along. Everything went smoothly aside from that. Borders marked and everyone participated - Spritedleap was the only no-show. Sorrelpaw’s mentor I believe?”

“Swimming lesson but don’t know how to swim? We’re you one of those who just decided they weren’t going to participate or did you just have a bad mentor?” There was a hint of teasing in the deputy’s voice. Spiderpaw didn’t seem the type to sit out just for the heck of it so he assumed it was the latter.

He glanced up as they reached camp, ears flicking at the call of his name. He gave a small nod at Aspensky’s report, “Very wall, I’ll be sure to talk to Spritedleap if I see them around. If that’s all, you’re free to go.”

Her darling Eelfriend was out for some training with Goosefury and she'd forgotten to ask to tag along since her brother/mentor hadn't seemed intrested in helping her learn. Hadn't even been terribly intrested in her when Lionstar announced her as his apprentice.
She needed more friends.
She loved Eelpaw and they meant the world to her, and there wasn't a single cat who could ever replace them, but it was becoming more obvious by the day they couldn't do everything together, so she needed other friends to occupy her time when they were away.
Hmmm....
This cat seemed like a good choice. Beanpaw, wasn't he? Seemed very nice.
She approached him.
"Helloooo, I'm Halfpaw. I'm very bored. Do you wanna hang out with me?"

The siamese sat, the sun’s warm rays soaking into his short, soft coat. For once, his mind wasn’t whirling with thoughts of his former mentor or his past, or even his future. For in this moment, Beanpaw was thinking about absolutely nothing. A luxury that he hadn’t had in what seemed like a lifetime. His mind was empty, simply echoing the sounds around him: idle chatter, birds chirping, the river bubbling. And now, the sound of a young apprentice speaking to him. Peeking open an ocean blue eye, Beanpaw couldn’t help but nod. "Sure thing, Halfpaw. What do you wanna do?"

Halfpaw ran into camp, hoping Eelpaw was tagging behind her.
She puffed up as she got ready to shout for an adult to come help.
"Hey!! I need an adult, Blizzardsky is at Sedgewater Valley and his paw got stuck!! We can't get it out alone, can I have some help please?"

blizzardsky was out where and his paw had gotten what? poor blizzardsky!!! it seemed like the dude was quite prone to having stuff happen to him. dayheart counted as an adult, right..? yeah, he was an adult! so that meant he could come along! “uh. i can come help! only if ya want, of course, even though you said you needed an adult and i’m an adult but i don’t know if you had like a specific adult in mind or like a specific type of adult but i’m just like your average adult and so i could probably help but also if you don’t want me to then that’s fine, i won’t intrude—-!” oops. he’d gotten a bit carried away with that rambling, but he hoped his excessive use of words had still gotten the point across that he was willing to come along and help. “if i can come.. ya’ll wanna show the way..?” the calico warrior offered the apprentices a smile. blizzardsky. paw stuck. he wondered how he’d managed that. nice.

Halfpaw tapped a foot to the ground, thinking about what she wanted to do. There was plenty they could do. But what would an older apprentice want?
"If you don't feel too childish about it, how about tag?"
The pure unbridled adrenaline that came from just chasing your friends was fantastic. She remembered once when she was a kit, instead of tagging, they'd bop each other pretty hard, sometimes knocking their brain a bit sideways, long enough for the other to run away.
It was pretty fun and she missed it.

(Flyfur found her in the territory)

Ashpool padded ahead of Flyfur, who had found her in the territory. She helped her a bit and now she was ready to face Lionstar. She was still exhausted from running, but that drink of water did help. The molly only had a few scratches from that rogue that were still bleeding, but they were only flesh wounds. Ashpool stopped as her pads were beginning to ache again.

Flyfur allowed Ashpool to walk ahead. When they got back to camp, her pace slowed further.
She wanted the former warrior to be able to face him somewhat alone before catching up with her.
She dipped her head to Lionstar when she finally caught up.
"I found Ashpool in the territory. She was coming back to see if she could rejoin."
She was quite certain Lionstar would let her back in. Ashpool had been a good warrior before she went missing.

"Well, you certainly look like hell."

Lionstar's voice was mild as Flyfur and Ashpool entered camp, his gaze sweeping over Ashpool's tattered appearance.

He wasn't going to question this. "I think .. you should just worry about getting cleaned up and rested again. We can talk about your duties once you're back on your paws again."

The tom was over where the distressed Apprentice was within seconds. Though it seemed that Dayheart was a few seconds quicker. Once he realized no one was in...immediate danger he felt his fur flatten. Once that worry fazed away the blueish grey tom simply started to laugh. "With the way you were screeching I thought someone lost a leg or got swept away in the rapids." he chuckled. The tom simply took a few steps towards the pair, shooting a smile at the other Warrior. "If his paw's wedged in something we're gonna want a slime of some sort. Or probably that gross moss that's found on rocks that are under water. That's some slick stuff." the warrior stated.

"But if it's squashed than we'll have to figure out what to do there."

"I feel like hell. This rogue attacked me, but I outsmarted her. She was sent running.", she meowed.

He would want to know what happened to her and that was it. Well it wasn't all. She had gotten lost and couldn't find home for a moon. She was glad that she would be able to get off her paws and rest. She would want to sleep for a while. "yes Lionstar.", Ashpool responded.
