Rumblepaw straightened up, his grin growing wider. Dawnstar was awesome! Dawnstar would protect them! Harsher methods? Pfft, who cared? They wouldn't be struck down by WindClan 'rabbits' again, that was for sure. He sprang forward several steps, to the front of the crowd, and was even bouncing on his toes when he came to a stop. "Dawnstar!" he crowed. "Can I help with catching the- the... the insidious traitors?" Yeah, that sounded right! Rumblepaw wanted to help Dawnstar make ShadowClan strong again, and that would never happen if there were nasty traitors in their midst.

Thornheart growled. He hated Icestar, and her daughter. But he was loyal to his clan, so his stayed still.
Frogkit didn't understand what was going on, so he just played with a leaf.

Shrewpaw had arrived late, but in time to catch most of the speech. For the most part, it seemed reasonable. Not quite like a murderous tyrant. More like a cat who wanted to obey her mother's last wishes, and make their clan as strong as it could be. But the bit about harsh methods............that was the bit that worried him. He didn't THINK she would kill cats for no reason, but you didn't know. She might not even be fully all there, from what he had seen at Icestar's death. But........he couldn't be disloyal. Because THAT seemed to be what was her biggest problem.

Doeflame kept her fairly stoic expression as Dawnstripe, DawnSTAR now she supposed went on about how it would be. She didn't like the new leader, but..........she was finding it increasingly difficult to think of trying to overthrow her. All nine lives, a fierceness greater than her mothers and undoubtedly many bloodthirsty supporters. Perhaps she should play it safe, try and warn targets, get them out. That might be more useful. Don't let anyone get hurt, don't hurt yourself. That was probably all she could do.

Scorchstrike looked up at Dawnstar while she was talking. Revenge against Windclan? What about the dog? But then again, maybe Dawnstar wouldn't be that bad of a leader. Maybe it'll be okay. I guess we could have worse leaders. I'll respect Dawnstar for now, but I'll keep my guard up. Scorchstrike was still wondering about the deputy choice and looked around at all the possible canidates. @Undertaker

Asterkit flicked his ears while listening to Dawnstar. This all seems right to him. "Just get revenge on the 'rabbit chasers''," He thought. Nothing could go wrong.

Owlfeather had been a bit surprised at the level-headedness of Dawnstar's speech. Sure, there were points where her true self shined through, but for the most part, she kept herself composed and told the Clan what they wanted to hear. Surely she wouldn't be worse than her mother.

She spoke with Icestar. Of course, the elder thought. Icestar must have said or done something to set her straight. Owlfeather only hoped it wasn't something too harsh, as she knew her daughter had always been far too tough on her kits.

The old she-cat cast her scarred amber gaze up to the new leader, chest puffed out proudly as she allowed herself to take pride in the fact that her granddaughter was up there.

"Dawnstar! Dawnstar!" She chanted, having not heard anybody start the chant yet. She was apprehensive, but...she was proud.

Ghosttail wasn't sure whether to like this leader now, but one thing was for sure. He would be loyal to her and to his clan, no matter what. And a battle? This could go smoothly. His claws had been aching to tear apart some fur in a long while. And hearing a chant start, he thought, Well, what could go wrong? "Dawnstar, Dawnstar Dawnstar!"

Windstrike

Windstrike rolled his eyes as the leader gave her speech about pride and clan weakness. That was pretty obvious, she was in a clan currently filled with a bunch of wimps. The only thing that really caught his intrest was her declaring revenge against Windclan. How nice, a battle wouldn't be far off and he hadn't been able to use his claws on anything but prey in a long while. Flexing them carefully as he debated sharpening them after the meeting, he glanced back up at the leader, wondering who was getting a ceremony. Hopefully some of those pesky apprentices were finally becoming warriors, he was tired of having to avoid clawing them to bits when they bumped into him. Lashing his tail at the thought, he straigtened up, curiously looking around the crowd to see their reactions.
