Phew ok running for your life took a lot out of you! Or maybe Mudhound was just a bit fat, that was totally possible. In fairness to them eating was fun! And tastey! And they'd had more then enough to eat growing up, especially with the occasional sneaking into kittypet homes and eating their food during winter when need be. So if you never got anything less then healthily chubby in your life wasnt it all technically still baby fat! .... Yeah Mudhound didnt even believe themselves there guess they were just a plump but muscled cat in general.

Turning back to finally face the apprentice they'd been keeping an ear on to make sure she was still behind them Mudhound grinned through panting and spoke. "Well that was exciting! Bumble-sis is gonna have my hide for that but she's not gonna be mad at you dont worry. Just me even though it was not my fault and a complete accident- anyway!

They smiled to Woodpaw before holding their tail up. He opened his jaws and scented a sparrow. He got down into a hunter’s crouch and started creeping over. When he got close, he leaped on to the sparrow. He dug his claws in as the sparrow panicked and thrashed around. They dug their claws in deeper and pinned the sparrow down as it hopelessly tried to escape. It let out one final cry before going limp in Wildtwist’s jaws. He dropped the sparrow and started licking off feathers from the bird.

He turned to Woodpaw. “Help me bury this and we’ll find some more prey.” He dragged the sparrow over to Woodpaw, leaving feathers as he dragged it. Another hunt was successful, and the clan would eat well.

Woodpaw nodded emotionless. He felt tired, drained. He had no wish to be here, he just wanted his nest. His claws scratched holes into the earth, waiting for Wildtwist to drop the sparrow in before pushing the pile back. He padded behind the warrior, not even bothering to listen for prey. He wouldn't catch it anyway.

The turned their head as Dragonflycliff emerged. "Caught a sparrow, Real plump one by the looks of it," he said, prodding the sparrow. "Lets take that as a good sign the Stars are pleased, and that Leaf-bare isn't anytime close," he said jokingly. They looked at Dragonflycliff's prey, before speaking again. "Nice job, You can haul these back to camp an' I'll report ta Alderstep," he said, flicking his tail to camp. He picked up his sparrow by the neck and started walking back.

Goldenhawk yawned as he padded out into the territory with his patrolmates. Borage, moss, should be easy enough. "Im splitting off to look around" he stated before padding in a different direction, eyes picking through all of the plants that pretty much looked the exact same.

Asterdance was freaking out and it made Bumblestar's heart squeeze. She wanted to pull them into a hug, but she didn't want to worsen their state, so she stood near them as a silent pillar of support until Wolfmist made his way over.

She was quick to follow her friend out of camp, hoping the new warrior would do the same. The dash to the area near the outskirts was quick and frantic, and once they were near, Bumblestar skidded to a halt and immediately planted her nose to the ground, searching for any scent or sign of Ripplepaw.

"Keep a careful eye out," she ordered Wolfmist, before glancing back at Asterdance. "Are we looking for anything in particular? Blood, other scents that shouldn't be here?"
