Falconkit sat next to him. “Well it is because all of the StarClan cats who live as the sun get very bored when they disappear for the night. So when they come back, they are so excited to see us again that they can’t help but burst out light from every direction. And at sun set they are giving us one last show before they have to leave and let the cats in the stars take their place.”

Blaxkkit smiled up at the sky as he thought about that for a moment. "Hey thanks for being my friend." He said looking around the clearing a bit before sporting that bird again. He wondered if he caught it eye again if it would fly away.

“Of course silly! Why would you think I wouldn’t?” Falconkit grinned at him.

He shrugged, he didn't know what to tell her. That he scared off his own family and they abandoned him in the territory, that he scared off any friends he could have ever made. "I guess people usually find me to be mean. I just don't want to be mean to you." Well, there was a half-truth. He frowned slightly as he tried to remember who brought him into camp, but he just couldn't. The bird had started picking at the fresh-kill pile so he decided to test out if it really was his eyes. He glared at the bird and it dropped the fish and flew away as fast as possible. Blackkit looked down before looking back up at the sky, "I wonder what happens the the cats we forget, like where do they go?"

“Mean? I don’t think you are mean. Maybe a little grumpy at first,” she teased. “But I don’t think you’re mean!” She saw him staring at a small bird, quickly the bird flew asway dropping its food. Weird. “I think the cats we forgot become the sun, and that is why there are so many of them all together. Then the more recent ones are the stars. But they all meet together at dusk, where you cannot see the sun or the stars. That is where they go, to discuss what silly things we are doing down here.”

After the meeting was dismissed, Whitepaw stood, shaking his fur. Quite an eventful meeting, but nothing he needed to be very worried about. He took a glance around, searching for his mentor. He wanted to train a bit today

Blackkit smiled at the ground before finally sighing and asking the question that has been bugging him since he met the beautiful she-kit, "Do I look scary?"

“Scary? Not to the mighty Falconstar!” Falconkit was a little confused why he would ask this. Her face scrunched up in confusion as she puzzled over what he said. “You are awesome! Why would you think that?”

Padding out to the sandy hollow that served as their training grounds, Nettlespark had to brainstorm just what he was going to do with his apprentice. The damned kid had all but vanished, refusing to heed his attempts at calling him out. And now he wanted to train. "Suppose now's a convenient time," the warrior grumbles under his breath before freezing and turning on Whitepaw. They'd arrived.

"You heard Icestar," Nettlespark growls. "If you want to even think about passing your assessment now, you need to know how to handle yourself in combat. We haven't done jack squat together yet, so let's make today count. I'll show you some fighting moves, got it?"

Blackkit sigh before finally explaining, "My parents and siblings abandoned me when they saw my eyes, and I scare most cats away with my attitude and eyes. I'm not a good cat Falconkit, but I don't want to disappoint you." Blackkit looked down with his sharp blue eyes. They were like a turquoise ice, tormented and almost steal-like. A small tear slid down the kit's face as he thought of all the things he'd lost because of the way he looked and how much of him changed because he was alone.
