Frostpaw shook her head, then leaned into the tom. "but you fight. I don't." It seemed as if everyone liked to fight, and believed that it was the right way. But it wasn't, and she knew that. The hard thing was that nobody would believe her.... Especially the cats she needed to.

Ivorypaw gave a sad glance at her old mentor, Breezehen. She liked her, why did she have to be replaced with Blackmoor. She was too old now to insist her father come with her to train with her, so she hesitantly came forward to touch his nose.

Ivorypaw didn’t get that normally most mentors take you to train more than once when you are almost 7 moons old. She had only seen the territory before, nothing else.

"Well, if you're a warrior, you're going to have to, whether we like it or not," he pointed out,"and I have to fight for cats who don't," he had just indirectly pointed out that he'd fight for Frostpaw, but he wasn't sure if Frostpaw would notice.

Ivorypaw gave a nod,” I don’t really know what I like, I guess I’m good with anything, which is my problem. What should I eat...you pick I’m far too indecisive.” It wasn’t that she liked all prey, it was that she found them all too good as she was still despite living here for half her life use to kittypet food and not prey.

Frostpaw nodded, though she didn't quite get the meaning behind Springpaw's words. There were other cats who wouldn't fight? Which was great, of course, she'd just assumed that everyone wanted to partake in battles, and even start them. Like Duskstar. And Icestar. She didn't know about Twilightstar, but Lionstar seemed to be doing a different brand of fighting. Whenever another was unjustly attacked, he would attack the raiders. At least, that was the pattern Frostpaw had gotten from this.

Breezehen chirped a thanks to Owlwatcher and carefully squeezed into the nest beside him. She hadn't realized how cold she felt until she was enveloped by the warmth in the nest. She set her head on his shoulder, carefully taking in his scent was oddly soothing.
She snuggled in closer, sighing contentedly. All was well in her world.
"Thank you...." she murmered softly into his shoulder, feeling sleep ease into her mind at last.
