"Heh, well I'm glad you're complimenting me rather than yelling or something." Cinderstripe meowed this with a bit of a lopsided smile, pleased that Irisflame wasn't taking Beastspark's words too harshly. Her wounds stung a little with the marigold soaking in, but nothing she couldn't handle. A warrior wasn't a warrior if they couldn't handle a bit of pain in her book.
"I'm not too great with talking to others, always tend to overthink things, you're pretty easy to talk to though. It's a bit unfortunate that whenever we talk I'm bleeding and you're busy, I guess a medicine cat's work is never quite done though huh." Her tail flicked thoughtfully as she sat, looking at the herbs that she was sitting so close to. The scent really was overpowering, the tabby wondered how anyone could stand it. Then again, Irisflame probably had to get used to it when she became a medicine cat.

Icestar heard the kit's voice and turned her attention to the little thing.
"What is it?" She asked monotonously. She had little patience for kits.

As the young tom began to speak, Icestar realized this was not a situation she was equipped to handle. Some cat coming to her? For emotional support? She wasn't exactly the embodiment of compassion and empathy. She listened to him awkwardly, deciding on a response.

"That's simple. Honeyleaf was a traitor. To prove your worth to ShadowClan, all you need to do is be loyal and work hard. As long as you are putting effort into serving your clan and respecting your leaders, you will become a worthy warrior and a true asset to the clan. Simple, really. Just remember where your loyalties lie."

Icestar pondered over her deputy's response for a long moment before her orange eyes met his again.

"Beastspark, I trust you as a warrior, and I know that you want what's best for ShadowClan, even if our ideas of what is "best" tends to differ. I know you have what it takes to be a leader, which is why I chose you. But as I'm sure you gathered, keeping secrets from me is not going to get you anywhere good. Remember to communicate with me, understand?" She paused again in thought, before changing subjects.

"There is another pressing matter at hand. Irisflame will be taking on an apprentice soon, but has informed me that she has inadequate battle training. She has requested that herself and her future apprentice receive battle training, and I thought you would be the perfect cat for the job. I would like you to take her on as a sort of apprentice, and teach her proper fighting techniques."

Icestar let out a low growl as an unfamiliar scent hit her nose. An outsider. His voice was charismatic, which only unsettled her nerves further. She looked up at the dark cat, her orange gaze unwavering.

"If you're looking to join us, get lost. ShadowClan does not accept outsiders," She grumbled, her voice low and her teeth bared slightly.
"What could such a stranger possibly have to offer me?"

Her silver head flicked to Icestar. She was a big cat, with a lot of scars...

Nonetheless, Echokit padded closer. "I just thought you'd want to know that Ivykit, the one you demoted last meeting, tried to attack me in the nursery because she said that my mother's nest was her's. Though, I quickly beat her." She her fur puffed up a little with pride as she said she had won the fight. Ivykit and her are about the same size just, Ivykit can't see so she had a big advantage.

Magpiepaw nodded eagerly, hanging off of Icestar's every word. Since when had she been so.. wise? Whatever, it didn't matter, but he had a plan now! "Wow, thanks Icestar! Your the best!" He didn't care what the other clans said. Icestar was a great leader!

The tom stood up, tail lashing eagerly. "Well, I'd better get to training to be a GREAT warrior! Thanks again!"

Blackpaw stopped and looked at the kit. He was sweating and panting hard. I do not want to be babysitting right now. he thought. It would be in your best interest to gain a following. the voice in his head responded. Fine. "Sure kid, what do you want to learn first?" he said smirking.
