Moonbird perked her ears as Softbriar began announcing patrols. She kind of hoped she was put on one, it would give her a chance to take Soaringpaw out for some more training, the young cat needed it. As they announced her name for the Thunderglade patrol though, Moonbird's muscles tensed up. That was the Windclan border... of all borders, Softbriar had to send her to that one. She eyed the feline, ears twitching. Maybe they secretly knew she'd been meeting up with Weaselskip there, and were just waiting for her to crack.
No. She didn't need to be worried. It would go fine. She would remain calm and simply just show Soaringpaw how to mark a border, and then get out of there. It's not like Weaselskip was constantly at the border. She didn't live there.
Getting to her paws, Moonbird gave a nod to Softbriar to let them know she'd heard her assignment, then turned to call her patrol members."Soaringpaw! Ferretwatcher! Let's get going!" She meowed. It would be fine. Nothing would go wrong.

Cormorantpaw heard his name called by the new deputy and leapt to his paws. He hurried over to Softbriar and dipped his head before going to wait for Buckbranch by the entrance. It was just a hunting patrol, but it was still his first patrol, so Cormorantpaw felt like he was buzzing. The deputy had called his name! How cool was that! He couldn’t wait to go.

Buckbranch gave Softbriar a curt nod and rose to his paws. To be honest he wasn't happy to be going on patrol, but at least this meant he would get to spend some time with Cormorantpaw. He always loved hanging out with the little tom.
He wasn't keen on wasting time, so he started off toward the camp's exit. RiverClan border, RiverClan border. "Come on, Cormorantpaw, let's make sure to get this turned in on time," he called over his shoulder as he ducked out of the entrance.

"Yes, o' great Softbriar," dripping sarcasm from the black tom's voice, he snorted. Cold and undisguised blue eyes glared at Softbriar's tone made him roll his eyes before facing his gathering troop. Herondive Hollow, huh? It's been a while since I've patrolled there. Blackmoor watched for only mere seconds as cats slowly strolled up, his tail twitched impatiently wanting to get this over with. "Ivorypaw!" he called out. At least she needs to stay at his side. Recently, a lot of cats ended up missing or, I don't know, dead, during these patrols. Guess it's normal. Quite frankly the warrior didn't mind if that happened. Fewer cats to worry about. "Greyheart and Goldenpaw." That's all of them, right? Right. "Let's head out. Keep up or not..I don't care," he muttered last of the words, walking out of camp.

Rainywhisker hears his name, looking over to the next round of patrols with little interest. He'd been dismissed. A sigh shudders through the tom's body as he stands, stretching his limbs out while one of the next guards approached. "Greetings, Moonmallow," he says politely with a dip of the head. "It's been quiet. If you need to keep yourself awake, just step on your own tail a bit. Should do the trick." After a chuckle lasting all of one heartbeat, the stormy gray tom takes his leave to retreat to the den for some rest.

Mousepuff sat up attentively as the deputy went about arranging patrols, Softbriar seemed to be settling in quite nicely and he was glad of that. Poor things announcement from the clan meeting was sabotaged. However the thought was fleeting as he was assigned to a hunting patrol with... Cloudedspark. The round tom stood with a smile “cloudey, shall we be off?” He called into the crowd with a warm and welcoming smile.
