Lighteningbranch and Deerflower padded into the clearing, side by side. Placing her jawful of herbs next to the Deputy's, Deerflower purred. "Thanks for helping me with collecting the herbs."
Lighteningbranch chuckled. "Just be glad you asked me and not Grouseflight." He laughed. "The forest would be bare and only half the herbs would be in your stores!"
Deerflower shook her head, but was still smiling. "No matter how that may be true, it still isn't nice to tease him!"
"Ah, I know, but it's still fun!"

Copperdust kept pace with the patrol, the apprentices bounding ahead. She just sighed in exasperation and kept walking. They would probably tire themselves out before they even arrived at their destination.
