Blackhaze watched from the shadows before stepping out to officially reject his role in this. “Everyone hear me! Ashpaw is older than me and by far smarter, if you’d listen to me listen to him. I must leave but know I’m always here to help you all. I hope we all find peace one day.” And with that he was gone, lost to the shadows.

Barely a shadow in the moonlight, Ashpaw slunk into the clearing, grey pelt bristling with excitement (and sleep-deprivation-induced paranoia).

"Everyone," he began, putting on a formal air that was rather out of character for him. He was using it to put on a show for them; to get them hyped up. Hopefully that would boost his chances of getting a warm reception. "So... Blackhaze decided to step down from his position as leader. At least in our little community. He handed all his leadership-duties-and-stuff to me. So... if I were you, I'd listen. Very closely."
