Lostpaw smiled," Alright. I suppose I can attempt on moving prey!" She shrugged. She hadn't developed feelings for him, but she thought of him like a friend, despite the fact that he was a warrior.

he studied her face a gentle smile on his face. he was just now noticing how beautiful she was. "Hey lostpaw, i want you to know if you never need anything you can come to me" he said

Pigeonfeather thought for a moment. Stay calm! I can do this! "Well... I think the best place to start is seeing what you can do naturally. That way, I can figure out what you can do!" She smiled and padded in front of Gingerpaw. "Come and try and hit me."

Hesitantly, Gingerpaw crouched and looked from side to side. Then she darted to Pigeonfeather left to try and get a hit.

Trying from the side? Pigeonfeather lept away from Gingerpaw, landing softly on her paws. "Good, good! Now try again.
What else can you think of to hit me?" She tensed for a moment, trying to anticipate her move. She'd probably go either straight for me or, try faking me out from the sides...

Gingerpaw nodded the croched into position. Suddenly, she flashed forward, almost nose to nose with her mentor, then quickly flashed to the left, landing a light blow on Pigeonfeather's shoulder.

Pigeonfeather looked at Gingerpaw. I didn't expect her to be that fast- that'll be useful to remember. "That was pretty great! You seem more speed than anything else, it looks like..." Hmm... so what should we do? "We'll focus on battle training today. Or would you rather practice hunting? I have no preference."

"Okay then, we'll start with that." Pigeonfeather paused for a moment. "So... let's begin with a hunting crouch! That's the most essential part of a hunt." She lowered into a hunting crouch. "Try this. Stay light on your paws, and keep your belly above the ground."
