He also has major PTSD [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder]. Which means he has serious memory flashbacks that he is pretty much immobilized by, he freaks out when someone mentions fire, and he is scared immensely by anything that looks like fire. You can probably imagine what he's like around real fire.
