Decent form from all of them... Swankit seemed a touch hesitant, but that was acceptable. Best to have a healthy fear of snakes rather than unfounded courage. His mouth twitched slightly in amusement as Elkkit slammed his paw into the ground as a demonstration of his "snake hunting skills". He was certainly the most prepped for apprenticehood out of the bunch, and Lioncrest secretly looked forward to seeing that fire grow into properly trained warrior skills.

"Very good, all of you," he rumbled, giving Brindlekit a small nod of encouragement before continuing. "Now, there are a few ways to stun or incapacitate creatures such as this. The most effective being a quick strike with your paw to it's head. You could also hook a paw under it's body to flick it away from you, or into a waiting clanmate to finish it off."

Briefly, the large golden tom demonstrated his stated striking techniques (gently enough to not fully stun the miserable snake under his paw) and gave Elkkit a challenging look as he finished.

"How about we attempt some practical practice," he hummed, abruptly hooking his paw under the garter snake and flicking it towards his son. "Quickly now; get a strike in and pass it to one of your littermates!"
