She cocked her head sympathetically. "Oh, I love playing with my housefolk. If you want to maybe my housefolk would play with you too sometime."

Tinker bounced a little. "Oh it'll be so much fun to have another cat to play with! My housefolk are amazing! They're not scary at all."

She moved in slightly closer to Tell. Her mind whirled from one topic to another. This new place was turning out to be so much better than the last. She had so many more friends here already. As she thought of her friends, a thought crossed her mind. Conspiratorially, she whispered, "Have you heard about the loners around here? I guess they live in alleys, I think. Have you ever been to one of those alleys?"

Tinker giggled and popped up to sit upright. "You're so silly when you get all serious." She hopped to her feet and padded away through the house.

"I'd love to go to the alley." She meowed wistfully, "It sounds so dark and mysterious. And I bet there's all kinds of new and different cats to meet. I think it'd be fun! You wanna come with me when I go?! I think maybe I'll find my friend Lyra, she has a brother that lives there. If he's as great as Lyra is then everything will be amazing!"

"Um..." Tell said, instinctively rolling to his back and pawing at the air as he thought about it. "Sorry, I'm sure I look like quite the fool right now. Its how I think, I guess. I suppose I will come, just to be sure you...consider your actions." he said. The sentence would have ended with so you don't do anything stupid. However, this was like, his best friend he was talking to, so he held his tongue.

She padded to the door. The sky was beginning to soften with the first signs of darkness. "I should be getting home so my housefolk don't begin to worry. But I will let you know when I'm going to go explore! Oh, I just love hanging out!"
