Torro's chest tightened and instantly, before he could think better of it, his eyes narrowed glaringly. What did this fleapelt really come here for? Trying to gloat as though he has any more chance with her than I do?

His throat felt dry. Thinking of Tinker spending any time alone with this cat made his pelt crawl. He evened his breathing. He couldn't let this cat sense his doubt but instead of neutrality he just felt defeated. How dare I feel any of this? Tinker is not mine and she won't ever be mine.

Torro shrugged. "Yeah, getting old is tough. Suddenly you start thinking about all of the things you want and how much less likely you are to get them."

"I knew it! You like tinker! That was my thought, and the way you reacted made me sure of it! you took my test just how I wanted you to! That romancy stuff was pretty sus, I was suprised you didn't question the topic change. Nothing wrong with liking her like that, of course, I was just checking if you do." he said in a manner that should have passed on that he meant no harm.

"Whether I like Tinker or not doesn't matter. She's a fun little molly and she's a good friend. Of course I care about her. What's it to you?"

I've heard that cats who take from the product line turn into product, which is meat, by way of meat grinders. As the older one, make sure she stays safe, cause she's like my only friend. I guess. He chuckled humourlessly, "You've met her. What makes you think she'd listen to me? We nearly got eaten by a monster the last time we went out."

He was quiet for a moment, "No worries, I understand. Well if she doesn't grab you before running off to the monster den then I'll definitely try letting you know. Maybe the two of us together could keep her from getting herself killed."

"on that second part, If I didn't know Tink, I would have thought she learned her lesson but she asked to do it again and told you it was amazing, didn't she?" he sighed

Torro laughed, genuinely. "Yes she did. I nearly left my pelt behind but that crazy molly laughed," he recounted fondly. "I've never been like that but I do wish I could have just a touch of that fearless spirit."

"I, however unfortunate for my health, agree, and that is why I will come against my conscience." he said in a defeated tone.
