(sorry for the short reply. It's a bit strange to have two patrols at the same time, but I like that)
Rookscreech stalked in what little shadow was present. It wasn't a conscious decision, but ShadowClan training ran deep. She emerged near her patrol group, giving a slight cough to signify her presence.

Ever prompt and punctual, Beetlecrest rose to attention when his name was called to lead a patrol. As much as he loathed to think of what may happen at their border with ShadowClan, patrols there were necessary to keep certain scheming cats greedy paws away from territory that wasn't rightfully theirs. It's not often that patrols begin to wane in number for WindClan, and Beetlecrest had half a mind in recent days to bring such a thing up, but he had held his tongue for better or for worse.
What mattered was that things were getting done now, though, and that was the least anyone could ask for, so, making sure his fur was perfectly clean and pretty, not even a whisker out of place, the warrior casts m even and outwardly indifferent gaze around the camp, watching for the cats who would be coming on this border patrol with him.
RainPaw quietly announced her presence to her patrol mates by giving a slight huff. She situated herself beside BeetleCrest as she waited for the patrol to begin.

Lightningpaw blinked once at the apprentice's question before inwardly fuming. She had brought out marigold for the bloody patrol leader to see, which meant one thing. He hadn't even tried to look for his patrolmates and describe the plants. Poppypaw must have simply heard her talking to Elkhowl before he vanished. She'd be having words with the warrior later... but for now, at least she had an eager to work apprentice to work with.
See? This was why she preferred apprentices. They actually wanted to pull their own weight for the clan. Didn't have that undeserved sense of being worth higher than all those around them simply because they had gotten their name. You'd think they would want to show off why they had earned their names instead of meandering around all the time, the lazy gnats...
"It's a flowering plant with bright, yellow orange petals. Quite lovely, really. At a distance can almost be confused for dandelions, which we will also be looking for. But I reckon I can do you one better, love. I'll show you one the moment we find 'em. They tend to grow together in bunches. Ready to head out?"

With a nod to each patrol member as they showed up, Beetlecrest decided that they were ready to head out. The sooner this patrol was done with, the sooner he could get back to camp. "Lets get going then," he said at last and lead the way to their dreaded border with ShadowClan.
