“A real one…?” Bunnytuft asked giving her look from the slang. He didn’t understand what that was supposed to mean, but he decided to just ignore it and move on with the conversation. He’d never thought of it that way… but it was quite a sweet name. His mother had thought of him as cute. That was a nice, and positive way to think of it.

“I guess you’re right. And unfortunately no, my mother is not alive. Her name was Blossomsnow and she was the sweetest cat I ever knew. I guess my name isn’t so bad when you think about it that way. It’s a nice way to keep her memory alive I guess.” He said with a thoughtful look.

“Look at you, making me all soft and sentimental.” He meowed with a small and genuine smile. He even chuckled softly as a soft look filled his gruff features. This was a rare sight from a cat like him. “You’re making me softer than my namesake.” He joked.

Owltalon just shrugged, her own smile spreading across her face. "Hey, that's my specialty. Y'know, your not so bad."

She felt very very accomplished-- and somewhat melancholy.

Owltalon had yet to lose her mother and father. They were fairly old but it seemed as if death were millions of moons away. Though, hearing about the harsh reality of Bunnytuft's mother kind of gave her a reality check.

Perhaps all the hardships she hadn't encountered Bunnytuft had been through. Maybe that's why he was so gruff.

Rubbing his flank against the she as a warm greeting, he spoke softly, “Sister where are you off to?” Purring cheerfully he smiled and sat attentively waiting for Flowerfern to tell him of her adventures.

With his gifts ready Garlic Feather padded across the clearing looking for Dandelion, he had spent quite some time looking for these, and if anything he really hoped they'd be found as generous. Although he was convinced that no cat would really be as quite eager to see what he'd brought as he was when they saw them. Well, he knew at least one of the gifts would succeed. Hence why he'd scavenged for multiple even if the first two were originally meant for him. He wanted to start it off with the less exciting gifts then bring out the grand finale. With a perky attitude and a grin he finally found Dandelion. 'Dandelion Tuft! I've got a gift for you!' He couldn't wait to see her face, he'd ensured they were just perfect. For a perfect friend!

She glanced up, the lobster in her jaws. Hey! Who’s that for? She mumbled through the lobster in her mouth, eyeing the Tom’s gift in curiosity.

The she rubbed her flank against her brother as he did the same. She smiled as well and answered his question. "I was about to go hunt." She meowed, happy that her brother was talking to her. Fernflower certainly wondered how he was doing now after having to retire. She honestly just worried if he was okay or not.

“Well, going to hunt, it is a wonderful day for a stroll is it not.”he purred kindly. The thought of going popped into his mind, and while the usually prudent feline held his tongue at times such as these, this situation seemed to be an exception. The toms boredom got the better of him and he chirped, ”Fernflower, oh sister, may I come with you?” Immediately after his statement he cringed, what if he couldn’t hunt, what if he cause a ruckus, what if an enemy attacked, what use would he be?

‘It is for you!’ his tail was upright and he couldn’t keep himself still, he was too excited to see her reaction, he eyed the lobster, he’d never really had lobster before, he swatted at it then sat back his energy draining. He pushed forward a feather and a rock that had a rusty-brown colour washing over on of the sides, and flashed a grin staring at Dandelion with an eagerness to see her expression when she saw the two gifts. ‘I thought you might like these two, and I have an extra gift incase you don’t’ He pushed forward the geode. The inside of the hollow rock was lined with small tightly packed crystals that slightly poked out, and then he took a moment to consider the lobster again. ‘ Is that for the fresh kill pile?’ he mused.

Garlic Feather took a bite and for a moment savoured the taste, he might have found his new favourite food! Stars he’d need to find where Dandelion caught one of these. Once he’d taken his bite he moved it over to Dandelion and perked his ears. A tribe? He’d never heard of tribes before. He didn’t even think other clan like groups existed. ‘Can you tell me more?’ He wasn’t fond of feeling like a kit waiting for an elders take but it wasn’t his fault if he was intrigued by the concept of tribes.
