Finally they had arrived at probably the most dangerous place for Shadowclan cats at the moment. Stopping for a moment Darkcloud scanned the area with cold amber hues searching for any signs of life before turning to Ospreysplash and Pristinewish.
Face serious as she spoke it the dark she-cat didn't bother honey coating anything she said "Now you have to understand how high the risks are here be on alert at all times and absolutely no messing about if something happens to you it will be your own fault and I will not be held responsible for your own foolishness." she told them sternly she knew it sounded harsh but it was for their safety, she didn't want to be the one to drag their dead bodies back to camp.

Spiderthroat and Dovefluff never showed so Brambleberry went out to check the order by himself. Dense fog made it harder for him to see but he couldn’t pick up any scent of foxes and Shadowclan was staying on their side, so he freshened up the border and then caught 2 robins that were hovering in the fog before making his way back to camp

Dawnstar scoffed quietly at the reply, more amused by it than anything else. It was honestly hard to be mad about any of this since Dawnstar would have taken the same precautions if the situations were swapped. After she got her answer on Ghostpaw, she smirked just slightly. The older leader didn't understand why the younger was only handling her idiots correctly now.
If Bumblebrat had acted the same when her clanmates were stirrup trouble at the start they could have avoided all this conflict. "Thanks," Dawnstar meowed, grabbing the deceased apprentice by the scuff and departed with that. She had to go bury this idiot and then go and take care of any potential backlash this might cause.

With a curt nod she led the two younger cats toward’s the first border they would patrol while out. Her silver eyes narrowed in suspicion as they neared the thunderclan border, her paws firm as she stood on the very edge before rubbing herself against the foliage around her. Smells like we haven’t been keeping up with border or scent markers I’ll have to report this to vulture’fang when we get back. As for now both of you tell me what you smell. As for cobweb you’ve probably already done this because darlfall is a competent warrior who should’ve showed you around already. wasppaw hesitated before opening his maw and drinking in the surrounding scents. He was hit heavily with the smell of…Thunderclan! Oh my his ears perked immediately and his eyes widened. Orange orbs glanced around at the trees on the opposite side before turning an excited expression on cobwebpaw this is so cool! he mewed quietly in fear of being snapped at by starry.

On Vulturefang's orders Darkcloud headed back to Herondive Hollow to mark the border gain with Ospreysplash and hopefully on time or they were at risk of demotion or worse exile....and she definitely didn't want that.
So being wary but quick the dark she-cat marked the border, making sure she did it completely, and headed deeper onto Shadowclan's side her tail flicking slightly impatiently as she waited for Ospreyspalsh.
Cobwebpaw can't help but smirk. He almost laughs when he shakes his head. "Yeah, Darkfall already had me do this." He mews before sitting on his haunches and smirking at Wasppaw. He pops him on the shoulder with his tail.
wasppaw trembled faintly. I-I’ve never been this far out before nor so close to enemy territory he replies to webby. Starry flicked her tail in slight annoyance. Right I want you both to scent the air
He opens his mouth to scent the air, and the Scent of ThunderClan comes to him - so does a very faint ShadowClan scent. His nose wrinkles and he looks at Starry'whisper. "Is our Clan always so foolish? They need to mark the border properly and more often." He mews, almost hissing as he then turns to Wasppaw.
"But how do you know it's ThunderClan? Other than the scent, what gives it away?"
