Re: RiverClan Clearing
Smolderpaw slowly began to make his way back into the clearing, unnerved by an event in the territory that had truly scared him. "... Larkstar, ma'am? I... I tried to drag Charredpaw out of the territory but a tree fell and crushed him. I saw Frostpaw standing on the opposite side and he ran off in the direction of the Outskirts..." His soft, timid voice rang out. @FrostyGalaxy

The young warrior eyed the nursery, making sure no kits popped their heads out of the den entrance. When the kits were safely tucked away, the cream minkpoint silently approached Birdsnow and tapped her nose on Pebblesplash's fur. "May StarClan welcome you." She murmured to the deceased warrior, then straightened and looked at Birdsnow. "I'm sure you did the best you could." She meowed sadly. The deputy looked as though she needed physical contact, so Appledawn swiped her tail over the deputy's back, attempting to be soothing. If Birdsnow pulled away, she would back off. But if the deputy accepted the comfort, she would stay.

Ripplepelt let out a heavy sigh. As if the other clans at their throats wasn't enough, now they were losing cats to twolegs traps as well. She padded up to Pebblesplash, touching her nose to her pelt and murmuring a few words of respect to their Lionheart. She hadn't known her well, but she knew she'd be welcomed into the ranks of StarClan.
She stepped back after a moment, making room for cats who had known her better to pay their respects.
"Well, yeah, but what about worried? Like, to the point of where you can't stop thinking about this one thing, and you just feel like it's your fault, and-" Tulipkit stopped herself, looking up at her older brother and sighing.
"I can't stop thinking about Fogkit. He's been missing- for a while now. Nobody seems to care either. I've told some warriors and Adderpaw and they've said that they'd look. But nobody's found him. He's been missing for a long time now. I don't know where he is or if he's coming home." Tulipkit's tail curled around her paws as she frowned and looked out upon the snowy camp.
"And worst of all, I feel like it's my fault. Maybe, if I'd watched over him- If I'd seen what happened then he would still be here. I feel like such a bad sister. I wonder if he left, or if he was taken or killed or what. I wonder if he chose to leave, if he's chosen not to come home."
"I just hope wherever he is, in StarClan, or somewhere else that he still remembers me... and I wonder if he misses me too. Because even though I'm in a Clan surrounded by so many cats I feel lonelier than ever."
he nodded seriously. "I feel you sometimes it can really hurt losing someone you love, but the best way is to keep going forwards because Fogkit wants you to be happy and not always sad about him its alright to miss others."

She doesn't know how to feel when Birdsnow carries Pebblesplash's body into the clearing. She knows she should be sad, that she should mourn the first real friend she'd made as a warrior in this clan. Pebblesplash had welcomed her, had offered her the nest next to her, and they'd been something Larkstar could've called friends. Often, she'd turn to the older molly if she needed advice, but then she'd seemingly vanished, her days spent in her nest, neglecting her clan, neglecting her duties, neglecting her friends, her family, and neglecting herself. Lark gets it, sort of, but she still has a right to feel bitter about it. And the fact that she refused help? Was that out of some sick and twisted pride?
Still, she walks over to Birdsnow, glancing briefly at Pebblesplash's body before tearing her eyes away. She didn't want to mourn a cat she was angry at. Instead, she rubs her cheek against Birdsnow's if the deputy would allow it, offering comfort to the living who can still feel it and who still deserve it. After all, the dead are dead, they no longer deserve comfort.

Smolderpaw returns, shaken and delivers the news about Charredpaw's untimely and, frankly, traumatizing death. She tries to care, but she simply doesn't. At least with the problem dead, RiverClan would be relatively free from trouble caused by outsiders. She says nothing to Smolderpaw and simply turns her back to him, entering her den instead to listen to what Birdsnow has to say to her.

The loss of the Lionheart hardly phases the apprentice when she makes her way out into the clearing. All she's offered from Tansypaw is a stare of disappointment before she goes back to looking for the cat she is currently seeking out. As far as she was concerned Pebblesplash hardly did much of anything during her time in Riverclan so far. For being a Lionheart, Tansypaw never saw her around. Never knew of her existence. So her death doesn't phase her. She was more concerned with preventing the death of the apprentice that was settled in her den with a fox bite. Making her way over to Springpaw, she dips her head politely, eyeing the gathering of cats as she speaks quietly to the other molly.
"I need burdock root for Flutterpaw's fox bite. You mind comin' with me so I can stock up on some? Don't want it to get infected."

Springpaw was sitting blank-faced as she watched everyone gather around the dead lionheart. The only cat she felt any kind of pity on was Birdsnow and her grieving. She on the other hand couldn't grieve for a cat she had barely interacted with nor barely seen around the clan. So she just watched from the background, while eyeing lionpaw scampering off. That left her with an upturned lip as she watched him, he belonged in the nursery more than the apprentice's den. She blinked as she realized that someone was sitting by her and looked to see it was Tansypaw. "Sure, I wouldn't mind!" she nodded, anything right now to get away from all this.
