Owltalon had just padded back in the clearing, some slightly damp moss in-between her jaws. It took her far too long to find it. Far too long.

Oh well, at least she actually did something and put her own motives aside... Not that she really had any anyways.

Then she realized Honeystep was talking to her. Owltalon just sighed inwardly, shaking her paws slightly to get ready for a few more requests or walking.

"What are we doing?" Owltalon asked, her words slurring together.

She skidded down into the main part of the clearing, her brown pelt sprinkled with snow.

"Sorry, I just got back... Does Birchbranch still need that wet moss to drink from?" -Owltalon flicked her eyes to the wet moss in her jaws. She was positive it was almost about to freeze over. "If so, I finally got it."

Why was she so slow all of the sudden? Had the weight of the current situation made her steps heavier? But that was counterintuitive, wasn't it? Shouldn't the urgency make her faster.

Owltalon let out a low hiss of frustration. She didn't even want to think right now, her mind was as numb as a frozen fish.

"Birdsnow ordered us to go track down the badger that did this. You can leave the moss here, other cats are tending to Birchbranch now." Sorrelblaze gently explained. He nodded in approval to Honeystep leading the way, taking a few steps forward, hoping she would get the party going.

Owltalon flicked her orange gaze back to Birchbranch, her eyes clouding with unexpressed worry.

She dropped the moss next to Birdsnow, trusting the deputy to take rightful charge. It's not like Owltalon had a clue of about what might've happened while she was gone, she just hoped things were calming back down.

"Alright," Owltalon mewed, "I'm ready. Well, as ready as a nearly frozen cat can ever be." She let out a dry chuckle.

She took her place next to Appledawn, patiently waiting for any more instruction. It's not like the frazzled she-cat was in any hurry, in fact, she'd love to give her paws a break. Even just a small one.

He pondered her statement for a moment, still slowly moving further away from camp. “I suppose Lions Beach? It’ll be a nice outing, of course, we must be wary of the weather.” He brushed up against her in a warm embrace of thanks. It was often times painfully boring in camp, and these outings always distracted him from the lingering pain of the accident. The tom took a step forward and smiled brightly.

The RiverClan molly looked up to see a familiar black tabby and his gentle amber eyes.

Voice a relieved purr, the warrior got to her paws and bounded over to her littermate, pressing her muzzle into his shoulder.

Nightspark honnestly had enough... The leaders took enough brunt already. He would personnaly weigh it down. He looked up the sky and sighed...


"StarClan, or whoever hears me up there... Forgive me for the sins and the rules You placed upon us... It's time to act, for the sake of the clan."


He took a breath... That won't be easy to order, some of his Lionhearts will be furious toward him, maybe even curse him, and what he would do will probably make him hated among his clan... Well... He could always retire from his rank after? And leave for the Outskirts to repent from his sins and behavior? Maybe even go to another clan? Well... That will be another matter...


All the oxygen he stocked in his lungs was brutally expelled from his body in a single scream. A powerful one.


"LIONHEARTS! GATHER AROUND ME!"

After that, he took a paw to his throat... Damn that hurt...


But anyway time for VERY important matter.

Dusklion

To say things had been chaotic would be an understatement. Truly, the entire Clan was running around like footless chickens and stressing out, but Dusklion? Oh, she thrived in this type of environment. From where she sat at the edge of camp her blue eyes found Nightspark and lit up with curiosity. Lionhearts were gathering, eh? Probably not her place to but in, but... she had never understood the rule of keeping her nose out of places it didn't belong.

"Hey, Sparkman!" Bounding over with a wave of her tail, Dusklion eventually came to a stop in front of him, blinking as he placed a paw over his throat. Hopefully he wasn't sick... egh, she did not want to get sick. "I know you called Lionhearts, but considerin' one of thems dead 'n another I haven't seen around in awhile, I figured I'd offer my assistance." Despite her boasting demeanor and smirk, there was a genuine determination in her voice and eyes as she watched the head Lionheart.

Ashenlake flicks his tail back and forth, humming quietly to himself while he munches on a mouse. He smiles cheerfully as he surveys the area around him. Through his view, all he sees are chirping birds and friendly clan mates (some more friendly than others), all he hears is the sound of rushing water and gentle wind rustling the leaves in the trees. To many it might be considered a dreary day, but he doesn't quite believe so.

The call nearly made Cherryswirl jump out of her skin, having been slowly making her way around camp to look for her new apprentice after her chitchat with Fishfreckle - though it was proving difficult with this new distraction arising. Quickly making her way over to the call, she dipped her head to Nightspark, as well as Dusklion with a tired, yet enthusiastic smile. Though, it faltered slightly as she nodded to Dusklion's words,

"Aye - Pebblesplash is with the stars now, sadly..." She shook out her fur, "It's been quiet, hasn't it, Nightspark? Despite so much actually going on..." Cherryswirl glanced over to Dusklion as well, more so curious on both their stances with the clan at the moment.
