Chrysanthemumshade didn't like harming nature. Plus, she knew she sucked at hunting. It was easy for her to scent out prey, but hunting it down? Had to be the worse part. She would had embarrassed herself. "I'd be better off being a queen..." She numbed to herself, but sighed. He had given her an order, and she didn't know if she should listen to it. "As in just...sink my fangs into it? Yeah, I can do that." She was buying time. Wasting time. Clearing her throat, she entered into a hunting crouch and she crept forward towards the tweeting animal. Just as she was close enough, and she jumped out - she thought she had it. She didn't have it. It was already flying into the air. Chrysanthemumshade felt her fur prickle up, making her into a small puffball. She cursed herself for being too slow. Turning her gaze back onto Mudtuft, she smirked, "Impressed? Told you I was untrainable." She looked away, brushing her tail to the side as she looked up towards the sky in sight of her lost opportunity. Mudtuft just didn't understand. The warrior life was not for her. And, she didn't want to be a queen. At all. So, what was she of use? Clearly, nothing. She could hear her mother fuming that she wouldn't amount to anything. Anything at all. Maybe, that was just the truth. "But, thanks for trying anyway." She murmured, but stayed close to the water to stare at her reflection. She almost had the bird. It was by the river, but she lost it. What did she do wrong this time!? Her eyes stayed on the stream, her green eyes reflecting back at her as she stared at her form. Wow...she appeared so drained. But, through it all - she smiled.

As the blue bird flew up into the sky, a expression of amusement, annoyance, and unsurprised feelings all mingled together. He certainly hadn't expected Chrysanthemumshade to catch a bird, but that wasn't as close as he thought it would come. To not ruin the molly's spirit, he stated, "Well at least you can do the crouch and stalk." leaving out a part about how she-cats should be queens anyways. He wasn't disappointed in her, but he wasn't proud. Mudtuft's face held no expression. Just a face as blank and unmoving as a dead animal. "We should probably head back anyway." He was sure the molly was embarrassed, but he made no move to tell her not to be. That would be comforting her, wouldn't it? He shouldn't comfort his flirts. Though, maybe trying wouldn't be too bad. "It doesn't matter anyway, someone will catch that bird eventually. You came close." his words were meant to be calm and soothing, but they had a edge to them. A I-have-no-idea-why-I'm-doing-this edge.

@Constellation

Minkpaw was staring into the river, deep in thought about ShadowClan and RiverClan. She didn't know if she liked it, or if it was scary. ShadowClan was known to be violent, creepy to some. Minkpaw swallowed a sigh and wished someone happy like..Tornadopaw maybe. Wait, where did that come to mind? She blinked, staring into the clear swirling water. It put her thoughts to ease, just watching it silently. Though a bit of company would be liked. She sighed, a tiny gleam in her eyes. She was alone, which felt nice and lonely at the same time. It wasn't like she was too social, but it just felt.. odd, at this time. Minkpaw shrugged it off, though couldn't completely shake it.

She didn't want to be surrounded by ShadowClan, she didn't feel completely comfortable. She understood though, they had nowhere else to go. WindClan and ThunderClan were at war, though no bloodshed had happened. Not too much anyways. She was softly muttering something she didn't realize along the lines of what she was thinking, spilling her thoughts to what she thought was the emptiness around her. Minkpaw blinked, realizing she was both stuttering and mumbling about her thoughts. Blushing softly, she stared at her paws and wished one of her friends could come around perhaps.

She barely noticed the mud washing away or her companion entering the chilly water. However, Duskfeather's voice reached her and she stopped her playing to look at her teacher. The molly took note of Duskfeather's swirling paws, though the note disappeared soon after. She nodded at the Riverclan warrior's instructions and sloshed towards the middle of the river. The water rose on her body until finally her paws only skimmed the bottom of the stream. A jolt of excitement shot through Cloudstrike, but she still wasn't scared. She had the naivety of a kit in many ways, including the belief that everything would work out.

Cloudstrike moved farther into the water until she was in lie with Duskfeather and her paws couldn't find the bottom at all. She did her best to quiet her thoughts and pay close attention to Duskfeather's instructions. Her head was bobbing in the waves and dunking under the water, making it difficult to listen, but she managed to catch the part about keeping her paws moving. The white warrior tried it, and managed to regain her control in the water, skimming her paws through it, though not as powerfully as Duskfeather. Wonder shone in Cloudstrike's eyes and she exclaimed, "This is amazing! This must be how birds feel!" The molly felt weightless and loved the feeling of the water swirling around her. The current caught on her long fur and managed to drag her downstream a ways, but she didn't panic and actually found it rather fun. Figuring that she should be near Duskfeather for further instruction, Cloudstrike tried to propel herself towards her teacher. However, the current was moving in the opposite direction and , being an inexperienced swimmer, Cloudstrike ended up just paddling in place.
While she herself didn't daydream all that much, she loved creativity and ingenuity, the ability for a cat to think outside of the box for solutions, and she knew that cats that daydreamed more often were more on the creative side. Their minds worked so much more differently than those who focused more on reality and the hard facts of things as she did a good majority of the time, and she almost envied their creativity. She wanted to be able to think like those cats, to be able to enjoy fantasies that can only be conjured up in a creative mind. While she couldn't change who she was, she could come to understand those cats and befriend them. It was refreshing to her to hear their unique perspectives and thoughts, and sometimes it even inspired her to think a little more creatively. And currently, she could see herself befriending this Shadowclan cat. Their clan differences meant nothing to Duskfeather, it was the cat she was interested in, not their clan, it was their personality, their ideas. Cloudstrike was friendly and very very creative in her mind and possessed the very qualities that the sandy brown she-cat liked in her friends, few they may be.
As she watched the white warrior begin her trek into the middle of the river, the sandy brown she-cat smiled. She always grew happy at the prospect of a new friend, cats that could get along with her and withstand her personality were hard to come by and yet, it seems that she's found the very cat that could do just that.

She's quite the natural it seems! Better than some of the apprentice's I've seen. Chuckled the she-cat in her mind, her dark yellow eyes taking note of how fast the Shadowclan cat seemed to recover and get a grip on the swimming, despite the several waves that made it over her head. "It's probably closer to how fish feel seeing as birds don't swim too much, but yes, it is definitely a fun exercise!"
Seeing the other warrior start to be carried downstream, Duskfeather half expected her to freak out as many new swimmers did, but was pleasantly surprised to see her absolutely calm, in fact, she seemed to be having fun! Letting out a small laugh, she'd lax up on her treading to let herself be carried a bit farther down, the lazy current pushing her along easily.
"Usually it isn't a good idea to swim against the current, it's hard for even me to be able to make any headway against it, even with this current not being that strong. The better idea is to swim diagonally or straight sideways towards the riverbank." Instructed Duskfeather, turning her body diagonally and swimming ahead, looking over her shoulder at the white she-cat with a smile before stopping and letting the current drift her back to her new companion. "While this stream isn't dangerous, there are some rough rivers in the territory that are very dangerous. When you're in one of those,
it's best to try and stay out of the middle, as that's where the current is strongest, thus why you try to stay near the edges of it.

"
Cloudstrike's mind started to wander as she swam in place against the current. She wondered if there were fish around her that were wondering what those scary white fluffy things were that churned in the water. Her mind then moved to how she would feel if huge legs appeared from the sky. Cloudstrike reasoned that she'd most likely just want to meet the cat connected to them, but surely the other cats in the forest would be terrified. The white molly smiled as her mind turned at the sound of a bird calling. The next thought she had was about birds and how they flew. She wondered if they were ever afraid of heights or landing. Blinking a few times, Cloudstrike noticed Duskfeather swimming over and attempted to focus on her teacher.

Cloudstrike contemplated Duskfeather's words and found that she agreed. It did seem as if the feeling was more of a fish than a bird. However, water splashed into her mouth when she opened it, drowning her reply. Cloudstrike spat the wate rand stuck out her toungue. The Shadowclan warrior felt the water tugging heavily at her fur and with every moment, her paws felt heavier. Cloudstrike blinked water out of her eyes and focused them on Duskfeather, nodding along with her words but not talking. Water still filled her mouth when she opened it too wide and she was currently breathing deeply due to the effort of swimming. Turning slightly, the white warrior tried Duskfeather's instructions. The swimming became easier and she started making headway. The molly was on her way towards the shore and let out a joyous whoop.

Cloudstrike swam around for a bit, enjoying her new knowledge. The molly found that she was able to swim without too much difficulty, but her fur was getting heavier and heavier. Panting, Cloudstrike pulled herself ashore and shook out her fluffy pelt. Not a hint of mud remained on her pristine pelt, but her fur was darkened with water. "I think that's enough for me," Crestfeather laughed in her dreamy voice, "thank you for teaching me, Dawn!" The Shadowclan warrior felt a slight chill and began to lick her fur the wrong way to dry it. Her stomach grumbled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten all day. Turning her blue eyes on Duskfeather, Cloudstrike questioned, "Do you think I'm allowed to hunt here? Or would Russetstar not like that?"

So
Many
Cats.
Tornadopaw could had toppled over by seeing so many! Shadowclan just burst into their camp - uninvited. But, if they were uninvited...wouldn't s fight be happening? The tom could definitely see Russetstar greeting them as if he had been expecting them all this time. Tornadopaw wasn't the type of cat to be mean. In fact, he would had welcomed everyone personally, but there were so many cats. Just too many to welcome at one time, so as he passed some of them, he gave them friendly hellos. Obviously, he didn't receive any of them back. Who would want to give a hyperactive tom a hello who seem to not fit still? Exactly.

So, as he strolled about, chasing after a butterfly that appeared in his way. He followed it until he could see from out of his vision a familiar brown feline. This is what made him stop chasing after the butterfly. But, he had to make sure it was her. Tornadopaw was never the best at remembering names, but he did remember Minkpaw- after all, that was his best friend. Many were annoyed with Tornadopaw's existence, but the she cat seemed to vine with him. She seemed to have liked being around him. It made Tornadopaw feel all warm inside at the though, but he buried his feelings down as he approached the she cat. "Hiya..." He stopped, pausing for a moment. Her pelt color matched, that was for sure. Yes, this had to be Minkpaw. "Minky!" He exclaimed, slightly greeting her in an affectionate manner by nuzzling the side of her head. But, why did she look so sullen? What happened? He just found her here...alone. Tornadopaw didn't like being alone. "Hey, what's up with you Minky?" He tilted his head and awaited for her answer.

She tried to get any information that she could to determine her next move, but he was stoic! As still as dead prey. She didn't know much about this tom, or what he wanted from her, but she knew one thing; he was not impressed. So, what would impress him? Clearly her sulking was not doing it. So, she let out a sigh, turning again to look at her reflection. The water rippled, causing it to get disoriented and she felt that it was a sign. So, she breathed in deeply knowing she would regret her next move, she got up and turned back towards Mudtuft - hesitating at the slightest, but eventually brushed against him with her tail sliding under his chin. "You're right. It's far from mattering. Someone will catch that bird, but it won't be me, apparently." She giggled. A light, softness with no hint of sadness. "Yes, let's head back...unless you have anything else you wanna teach to me." She replied, rather lowly, but she sauntered away to allow her words to sink in.

But, why did she look so sullen? What happened? He just found her here...alone. Tornadopaw didn't like being alone. "Hey, what's up with you Minky?" He tilted his head and awaited for her answer.
Minkpaw glanced back at the camp, dipping her left paw into the water and letting it churn around her fur, tossing it lightly and cooling her fur. What was she so worried about? ShadowClan wasn't too bad actually, but all the noise and the extra mouths to feed startled the young she-cat. Minkpaw would have introduced herself to one or two cats before she left, but the flood of soaked bodies clearly exhausted made her unable to force the words out of her maw. She couldn't even muster something like 'er..hi' out as she slid away and to the river, letting her thoughts calm. The longing for Tornadopaw to come around still there.

She heard pawsteps, tensing slightly. She scented the air, the familiar smell of Tornadopaw relaxing her. Oh, good, it's him. She thought, a tiny smile on her maw masking her nervousness slightly. She turned to look at him slightly, a glint in her eyes. He was her best friend, though something deep in her wanted more. She didn't think of this part of her often, because it was awkward. Not many cats could break Minkpaw out of her shell of awkwardness but he'd succeeded at their first meeting. A warm fuzziness was inside her as she smiled, watching him approach with a tiny bit of anxiety. "Hi" she replied, somewhat awkward as she tried to not blush too much. He was her best friend, why was she so awkward feeling. "Hello, Tornadopaw" she giggled, returning the gesture of greeting as the grin became a bit larger on her face. Her thoughts were pushed aside for a few moments, she wasn't too alone anymore. Minkpaw liked being alone for a bit, but Tornadopaw was the cat she liked to talk to. "Oh, I was just thinking about the stuff going on. You know, with ShadowClan coming here and WindClan and ThunderClan going to war maybe and all. It's just sort of.. a lot."

Flirting?
Yep. It was flirting. But why would Chrysanthemumshade flirt? He had learned already she was not the type for flirting. Perhaps that was what impressed him. It seemed to him, that she was trying to impress him. But why would she want to do that? Chrysanthemumshade hated to flirt. Wasn't that what he'd come to know. Plus, impressing him was a hard thing to do. Perhaps she figured flirting would do the trick. It kind of did. He was impressed she was flirting when she didn't like to, and it was hard to impress anyone from his family. Wait, maybe that was it! Maybe she was trying to get on his good side, to insure that his family wouldn't harm her in anyway. That was smart, in a way, it made him more impressed. "I don't have anything in mind," he purred, "But if you do.." his voice trailed off. There was nothing else he was in need of saying. He was flirting. And, she was doing it too! Mudtuft found that if you let your voice trail off, it could have a very flirty meaning to it.

"How is a flirting tom cute?" He asked, ears lowering a tad, he didn't know at all what she could find cute in it.
