Fawnsplash wondered where Eggbite had disappeared to but for the moment she didn't say anything, because surely she'd catch up to them at some point. She gave a quick nod to Featherpaw, muttering a little warning. "Careful. Don't wanna find ya dead with ShadowClan scent." She certainly didn't trust ShadowClan after everything, but she supposed they had to tolerate each other and not start fights. That was easier said than done but oh well.

Featherpaw seemed to take a while, but since the prey was scarce and there were a lot of places to look in, Fawnsplash decided not to fret for now. She continued marking the border, sniffing the air for some prey. It was useless. What did Spiderthroat expect from them?? It's not like there was ever any prey in Herondive Hollow. She was done marking the border, so she went back to her old spot, noting Featherpaw was back. "We should head back before it gets late. Dunno where Eggbite is but we should get going she'll probably follow."

Featherpaw nodded, fighting the urge to throw back a glance at the warriors she'd seen at the border. What was she supposed to do about it? To talk at the border was one thing, even if she didn't approve but to just let a ShadowClan cat trespass on their territory?

"Yeah, let's head back before Spiderthroat gets mad," they mewed. He'd seemed pretty serious about punishments for not doing patrols...

Something was rotting.

Bumblestar had taken Violetfreckle and Yarrowcrest out on a makeshift patrol - check the borders, maybe hunt a little bit, but this was quickly turning into something else entirely. The stench of death wafted up from the bottom of the ravine, making her turn her head in concern. "Hold up. You smell that?"

Nose twitching, she carefully approached the edge of the ravine and leaned over. Two corpses, decomposing, laid splayed out at the very bottom, and she wrinkled her nose. One of them she recognized - Albatrossflicker, a ThunderClan warrior whom she'd thought to have just gone missing. The other was unfamiliar. "Great skies," she muttered. "Help me find a path down, I wanna take a look at this."

When Bumblestar points out the scent of death tainting the air it makes his fur stand on end. It wasn't something he had encountered often. Something he only encountered at this stage of rot when it was fresh kill becoming crowfood. Knowing that it was the corpse of a former clan mate... it didn't sit well with him. Especially since the leader wanted to take a closer look. He understood why she would want to-- try and discern what had happened for them to have ended up at the bottom of a ravine. But it still felt like something was... Off. Not sure what, but definitely felt off.

He nods in understanding when she asks the two with her to help look for a path. Blue hues scan the immediate area before he's wandering away a bit to search. There's a spot he thinks may be a way down, judging by the way rocks jut out of the earth along the way toward the ground below, but thinking of skidding along or jumping down may be a bit dangerous. May as well report nonetheless.

"This may work, if we're careful."

Raccoonwhisker was overjoyed. With the recent events happening, (With all the Thunderclan war n' stuff) it left him the freedom to do whatever he wanted. He ignored borders his whole life, storming on territory and doing him. But now he can't get in trouble for it?

That meeting was heaven. His loyalty to Dawnstar went over the roof.

Walking over to Thunderclan border, he paused. Smiling with Malice. Everything beyond this line was gonna be his. Soon.

He walked over the border. Walking into Thunderclan Territory. He flipped over rocks, dug holes everywhere, and marked his territory all over the Thunderclan smell. He picked flowers and buried them in the holes. He collected rocks he found pretty. He was enjoying himself.

Padding through the forest on quiet paws, Redhawk was alert with trained eyes focused on the border. Previously untapped, rage spilled out in her chest and turned her blood cold like ice. Gentledoe. These monsters had blinded her big sister. They had scarred her and raked their claws over her face and forever changed her. A low growl rumbled in her throat and she was glad that she was out here alone; she wasn't entirely sure what her mission was, but right now all she was seeing was red.

The scent of ShadowClan hung heavy in the air and with all the noise being made it was clear that there was a trespasser. On paws that made no sound, Red scurried up a tree and used the cover of the thick branches to make her way along the tops. Just below her was a ShadowClan rat, clearly over the border and messing with their territory.

It may not have been him who blinded her sister, but right now it didn't matter.

Without so much as a sound Redhawk sprung from the trees, claws out as she aimed to land heavily on the trespassers back. If she managed to catch him off guard due to her quiet soft paws, she's bare her fangs and aim to bite fiercely into his shoulder and pin him down.

Racconwhisker only had a split second to prepare. He let out a loud squeak of pain as he was thrown against the ground. Feeling a sharp pain in his shoulder. What the? Who was that? The smell of Thunderclan filled his nose.

Feeling a loud ringing in his head as he felt warm blood trickle down his shoulder, he tried his best to flip the Thunderclanner off. No way he was gonna escape this battle without adding another kill to his totally not empty list. Yea.. It was FILLED with dead Thunderclanners. Gulp

Feeling the ShadowClan below her start to flip her off, Redhawk leapt from his back and landed a little ways away, digging her front claws into the ground to spin herself around so that she was facing him. Pupils were in slits. Gentledow and her sister's ShadowClan-inflicted injuries were all that was on her mind.

"Get off ThunderClan t-territory, now." A normally passive and sweet cat, that version of Red was gone. Replaced was all of the pent up rage, all of the formerly encapsulated grief. She was throwing it all into this, into making ShadowClan pay.

Not waiting for a response (because the truth was, she didn't want this ShadowClanner to leave, she wanted him dead) Redhawk rushed forward him and aimed a hard smack of her claws in rapid succession towards his head, fur bristling and tail puffed out behind her. Her goal was to stun him to the point where she could lunge forward and knock him onto his back.

When he finally got a moment to breathe, he stood up. Shaking. My shoulder... Stupid Thunderclanner. He could barely hear them over his over rage and anger. His tail lashed.

"Fine, I'll L-" He felt a paw smack him. God dammit, they didn't even let him finish! How rude. He quickly ducked and dodged out of the way before any more attacks could hit him. Hissing loudly. If he wasn't clouded by his rage and anger, he would have fled. But, he lashed back at the Thunderclanner. Aiming to slash them across the face.

Fernwillow padded through the territory towards the border the ground growing wetter with every pawstep. She glanced behind her to ensure Leafpaw was following, and was pleased to see the apprentice close behind her. "This is near the ShadowClan border," she explained, "you can tell by the ground becoming marshy." Leafpaw's mentor had apparently skipped this part of the border tour, though Fernwillow could understand why. She hated wet paws, and on a chilly day like this, it was the worst. Alas, Leafpaw had asked, so here she was. She didn't mind it too much.

Unbeknownst to the two cats, Dawnstar had just given the kill order on ThunderClan cats on either side of the border. A simple border tour was about to turn into something much worse.
