Rushingmoor was finally feeling well enough to stumble out of the medicine den and he made a beeline for the little tom whom he’d been worrying about. The bengal mix sat down beside Stagpaw and rested his muzzle on his head for a moment, feeling strangely like he needed to touch the younger cat just to make sure he really was safe. The raid had left Rushingmoor with a large scar and a healing voice but it had also left him with a lingering fear for Stagpaw’s wellbeing. He wasn’t the kid’s father or mentor, though. Stag didn’t have a father... perhaps Rushingmoor could fill that role in a more official capacity? He didn’t know but the thought of another cat coming into Stagpaw’s life and trying to be paternal made Rushingmoor feel a bit annoyed.
