Bones ear turned. "Brother, listen..." Skull nodded. " the smell of mouse on a cat,easy prey. " they stalked towards the bouncing toms scent, stalking in the grass.

Hiraki just stood there a moment, confused and with a lack of words. "Thanks." He whispered as the tom left, an uneaten mouse pushed his way. He made a mental note to go hunting later and get something for Quid. He settled in a spot, uncertain on if he should wait for the younger tom to return or not.

Quid stopped himself short as the powerful scent of strange cats came to his nostrils. He fled back to Hiraki. "Strange toms, incoming. Watch yourself." He warned, looking the direction the toms were coming from.

Hiraki stood quickly, eyeing the strange cats. "Thanks." He mewed. His fur was on end and his claws extended as he watched the strange toms come closer. The old cat was covered in old battle scars that never quite got the fur back, he knew that if something happened hed be prepared to fight. "Leave." The tom hissed.

The toms leaped closing in on the tunnels. The toms clearly in their "prime" had their tails high and muzzles curled back in vicious snarl, but Skulls eyes show. with sympathy. "Skull." Bone whispered warningly.

(i swear hiraki better live. he has three litters of kits in the world that may need him in the future. Quid better live too)
Hiraki didnt turn his back on the strange cats and went into the mouth of the tunnel, slightly irritated by the tom's herding. That didn't matter now. What mattered was protecting himself and Quid. Hiraki's teeth were bared and his long fur made him look twice his size.
