A game? A GAME! With a squeal Martenkit charged towards Gingercry, hopping up and down excitedly as he stopped just short of colliding with the warrior. I want to play! he called, popping up onto his hind legs, and, with a bit of a wobble, staying there. He was going to be the BEST fighter, he KNEW it! Yes yes yes, Martenkit would be a name all of the other kits would fear after this day! So what if he was small? He could still beat the big kits up, he just had to be fast and strong! Which he was! This was going to be fun!

Cloudpaw is startled awake when he hears Gingercry of course it was him again yowl out about a game. He growls to himself, but eventually stands up and pads over to join everyone else that had gathered around.
Sure, he guessed he could play with the other. Battle training sounded fun.

Frostpaw walked in. Yes batle ractice! she wanted to join if Wndclan was invited!

Falconfeather lifted her head at the call and padded in, bleary-eyed. It wasn't like she had been sleepy or anything, just had been dreamily staring off into space, as she did so often nowadays. This sounded interesting though, so she would be up for it. Maybe give it half of her all. Though, if it ended up half as fun as the climbing event, she might try harder. Listening as Gingercry listed through the rules, she nodded. It made sense. SHe could try it, though, she'd rather not have to battle the queen. Of course, should said queen be a Dawnstar's supporter, she'd have no reservations.

Pigeonpaw ran across the clearing. A game? And battle practice? This would be just the opportunity to show off her moves! She was large for her age and strong, she lacked the skill of real training but she was sure she could compensate enough for that with her size and willpower. She wanted to be the very best!

(Pigeonpaw will be barred from winning. She's just participating for the experience and fun of it. No cheating)

Gingercry sat back and watched cats gather. He was pleased by how many seemed to be interested in participating. He went over it in his mind again but finally shrugged and rose to his paws. The only true way to get into it was to start. He walked through the cats and directed each to a designated space.

Nightpaw walks to the spot Gingercry told him to stand. He stretches low to the ground and narrows his eyes.

He walked over to where he was spoose to start (F4)

**Elmshadow**

Once Gingercry gave him a position, Elmshadow walked to the space (B8). He sat down and waited for others to get their spaces before calcularing his first move. Trying to go after apprentices would be the easy target to rack up the most wins but a smart apprentice will be trying to avoid him and going for other apprentices to battle so he could waste turns trying to catch an apprentice. Or he could trust in his fighting skills and simply go for another warrior who is as eager to challenge him. It looked as though he had two nearby apprentices and then Ravenblaze. Going forward seemed like the best chance at getting a challenger so he stepped to the next space (B7).

**Cougarivy**

Cougarivy bounced to the space Gingercry directed her to (G3). She sighed, Elmshadow was all the way across the board. Oh well, that was probably better anyway. Even with all of the extra practice he'd been giving her she wasn't confident she could beat him anyway. She cocked her head but his apprentice was nearby. A small smile cracked her lips and she stepped fluidly back a space towards Needlepaw (G4).

**Sunsetkit**

Sunsetkit ran to the smaller grid and found the space her grandfather had directed her to (D4). He would surely give her the advantage, right? None of his other grandkits were playing so she must be his favorite. Susnsetkit purred at the thought then impatiently waited for the rest of the kits. Once they were all moved onto the grid, she quickly made her move (D3).
