RiverClan Prey Pile

The siamese dropped his finding of one adult mouse and four small babies onto the prey pile. He tilted his head as he considered. He supposed it would be around three pieces total, considering that the baby mice were so small.

With a wrinkle of his nose, Beansprout made his way over to the prey pile. It seemed two mice, a vole, and a pigeon had gone bad. The warrior looked over the rest of the prey pile, examining each piece. It seemed another mouse had been there for awhile but hadn't gone bad. Beansprout disposed of the rotting prey and his stomach rumbled. Well, he supposed that if a piece of prey was going to rot anyway, he may as well eat it rather than let it go to waste.

Silently Gingerfrost dropped of the frog he was carrying, and that Mintpaw caught, on the preypile. He then looked over his shoulder to ensure that the apprentice dropped off her prey too before giving a nod and leaving.

Mintpaw followed Gingerfrost to the fresh-kill pile and gently placed the feathery sparrow on top of it. She glanced at the slimy frog she'd caught, wondering if someone will actually take it and eat it.

Peachpaw padded over and grabbed a sparrow it was something she didn't mind eating though not her favorite food

Beansprout trotted into camp, paws caked with dried mud, and set the adult robin and newborn baby on the prey pile. He decided to take the remaining robin eggs to RiverClan's elders -- perhaps those new arrivals? He was proud of how he hunted and was sure they'd appreciate a different snack.

But... wait. Before he could go, he smelled something rotten. Nosing through the pile, Beansprout found a mouse, another mouse and a crow, a fish, another two mice, a vole, and another fish that had all been buried and rotted in the pile. With a scrunch of his nose, the warrior disposed of all the rotten prey and left his contribution there. With that, he headed to the elder's den.

Looking for something to bring her kits, Silversnow gently picked up a fish.

Two fish.

That was all that remained of the RiverClan prey pile. Two measly fish.

Though Beansprout's head was still a bit fuzzy from his overexertion, it was clear that nothing got done around here unless he did it himself. 21 pieces of fresh-kill had gone bad, and no one had bothered to move them. Twenty-one. One by one, the siamese took them out and disposed of them, mourning over the loss of food. The sun was low in the sky; he had all day to hunt.

And that was exactly what he'd do.
