He leaped up and darted back, settling into a defensive crouch with his eyes weird and ears pinned back. His maw was open wide in a snarl, and his long gray black and white pelt stuck up. He gazed fearfully at his friend, nearly unaware of who this was and what was being said. He remained motionless the whole time up until Rushpaw killed the rabbit. Slowly, recognition entered his eyes and he stood up hesitantly,, his yellow hues apologetic. That had never happened before, and he didn't nquite remember doing any of it except for a few cloudy memories. Warily, he padded closer to Rushpaw. “N-n-nice kill.” he murmured, pretending that nothing had happened.
"Thanks.", Rushpaw replied, covering the rabnit with some damp earth. "What do you want to do, now?", the ginger point Siamese asked, looking at Midgepaw. He saw fear in his friend's eyes. For StarClan's sake, I probably scared him to death when I tackled him...

He assumed that he was 100% a Syndicate cat in blood, but not in heart or mind. He loved the wide open moors and roaring wind and all of that, and he didn't ever want to leave his new home. He didn't mind trees, but this place was perfect without them, although he always felt a little bit exposed unless he cold duck behind something and hide out of sight from anyone else. Collecting bedding sounded like fun to Midgepaw, and it made him feel homesick, which was something he had never considered possible, but it was just homesick for the healer's den, with Bush and the strong scents of herbs and all that. “Sheep wool?” Midgepaw asked, tipping his head to one side curiously. He had never heard of that before, and he guessed by what she'd paired it with that it was some type of nesting material. He nodded, then a look of horror entered his gaze as she continued, and he almost felt the urge to run, to hide. “Oh.” he mewed, her words had calmed him down a bit. It was alright as long as claws were sheathed, although he knew that he would always think of battling, even pretend battling, to have claws unsheathed, as was necessary to survive if you were anywhere but the Clans. “So it's all just play then?” he asked, confused.
Shaking her head, Dewpaw looked toward the warrior's den. "Training is a little more than playing, since what we learn is actually what we use during a real battle," she explained. About the sheep wool, she suddenly got a great idea and her bubbly attitude returned. The molly seemed to give a little bounce on her paws and her gaze glimmered as her excitement grew. The she-cat stood up, her dark-furred tail waving behind her. As the sunlight broke out from behind a cover of cloud, Dewpaw exclaimed, "Let's go to the warrior's den! I can walk fine," she added, scowling for only a mere second at her leg. "But there's sheep wool in there. A sheep, do you know what a sheep is? Oh, follow me," she said, turning and bounding toward the warrior's den, the wind flying through her fur and her paws skimming the ground.
(Sorry for the short response!)

Shrikecall's eyes narrowed and his expression changed. "You are, and you know it. So calm down." The bitter tone surprised him. Not to mention the fact that Blazingstar wouldn't stop bringing up that infection-- which he may or may not have had-- wasn't making things much better. But an ice-cold air settled over both afterwards... Shrikecall could feel it in the air around them. At least he had won the argument. He might be losing so much... but he was winning a fight that seemed to mean more to him then anything else. "I'll see you later. Call me when you need me." Shrikecall's voice was cold, and his eyes looking disappointed and upset while he padded out of the leader's den. So that was it. A bad note to end this on... but at least he was winning what he wanted to. Worry was unnecessary. As long as he kept telling himself he was fine, everything else would be fine as well.

(Sorry so short! @Suspiciousmindz)

I mentioned on my profile that I was starting over. A fresh start is best for me right now; I've created quite a few new characters, and they will all be on my site, but not all will be used in roleplay right away. it's likely I'll bring them in more gradually.

( Oops, forgot 'bout replying to roleplays )

Midgepaw's fur prickled, and they lifted their paw, the leg with the long thin scar running down it. They didn't realize that they had cut their paw pad on a sharp stone, and a thin line of blood had appeared. It wasn't bleeding heavily, and wouldn't have bothered any other cat, but for Midgepaw, it was more dangerous. Sighing, the apprentice looked up, realizing that Rushpaw had spoken. “Huh? Oh! We could . . . we could explore that old rabbit warren?” they suggested, indicating with a flick of their tail a hole in the ground, but had no fresh scent lingering around it.

(it's okay.)

Rushpaw looked at Midgepaw. "Okay. Come on. Let's go!", he meowed to the apprentice. "We might as well go, now. If we go any later, it would be dark by then.", he mewed. Rushpaw padded over to the hole that Midgepaw was looking at. He poked his head in and looked around the old rabbit warren. "Even though there's no fresh scent in it, the rabbit warren is still in good shape," the ginger tom said.

@Lonestar23 @Chameleon @CandyFlossCat @BluBunny

With a heart full of grief, Blazingstar rose to the Breezerock. It was just past sunset of the day his friend died. The stars were just coming out and his golden hues rose to them wondering if his deputy would be there tonight. He had to be. He was a loyal warrior and a great deputy. Lowering his gaze again, he stood atop the Breezerock now. The last rays of light were dying behind him leaving the stars to give him a silvery outline. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here beneath the Breezerock!" he called, the grief almost choking his voice. He cleared it. Slowly Blazingstar sat down. He'd start with the ceremonies that needed down then move on to the main event of this meeting. Windclan needed a new deputy now. There was no time to wait for Thunderclan could use their weakness against them. Alderscreech was missing as well, that was one more thing he had to announce to the clan. He only prayed nothing bad had happened to her. He wasn't sure what he'd do if something bad had happened to her. He did know for a fact that Thunderclan took her and he planned on taking a patrol and personally escorting her back. Grief was driving him at that moment. Grief and anger. It was a dangerous combination.

Breezerunner was one of the first to walk out, her eyes focused on the rock.

Caracalpaw pounced out of the apprentices den, sitting below the rock. Her ears were pricked and eyes wide as she paid full attention. Her forgetfulness couldn't come in now!

Midgepaw nodded, but didn't point out that underground, it would be dark anyways. “I'm smaller. I should go first, that way I can make sure none of the tunnels are too narrow for you to fit in.” Midgepaw said, adding a slightly teasing tone so that Rushpaw knew that they weren't trying to be mean. Before anything more could be said, Midgepaw darted in without any hesitation, instantly engulfed in darkness. They gagged on the thick, damp air, but quickly adjusted. “You comin' in?” they asked in their quiet but deep voice, unsure of what would happen. Their yellow eyes glittered unseen in the darkness, and they could barely see anything as they slowly progressed down the winding tunnel.
