"I know." Vincent shut his eyes for a moment. Then with one last glance toward Vexy, he stood and headed out. But he paused beside Jack, glancing at him. "You're a good guy. And you're the guy she loves. That alone makes you the right guy for her." With that, he left the room.

"I.." Kila trailed off, looking at her pups, then at Marinette, then back at Sade. "Of course."

Samuel closed his eyes, nodding along with Sade's words. He knelt down, opening his arms in hopes that Marionette would hug him.

Jack watched him go, then walked over and sat on the bed. He finally showed his exhaustion, and it took him only a minute to fall over and be consumed by sleep.

"W-what!?" Marinette looked from Kila to Samuel, then to Sade "You can't leave!"
"You'll be safer with Kila," Sade sighed.
"I'm safe with you!" Marinette's tiny hands curled into fist. "Don't you want me anymore?"
Those words went straight to Sade's heart. She stared down at Marinette in complete shock and heartbreak. "It wasn't always a want with you, but it's always been a need."
"I don't get it." Marinette sniffed. She was on the verge of tears.
"Minou, it's always been a job keeping you safe," Sade knelt down to her level. "From the moment your mother gave me to you, I knew you had to be safe. I hid you, raised you, kept you way from danger. Soon it became more than I job. I wanted you. I wanted to always have you with me, to see your smile and hear your laugh. But what I'm doing now isn't enough anymore. I'm sending you away because you'll get hurt, and I'll never forgive myself if that happens."
"I don't want Kila!" Marinette ran forward, crashing into Sam's leg and hugging it "I want you two! I wanna be with you forever!"
Sade felt her throat well up, tears of her own forming "but we aren't what you need. I'm too young to keep you safe and raise you right. I see that now. You need someone like Kila for that."
"I'll never see you again," Marinette hiccupped.
"Who says?" Sade took her hand and slipped off a ring. It was silver and covered in black crystals. "I want you to hold on to this."
"But..." Marinette looked surprised "my mom gave you that ring."
"The more reason you should have it." Sade placed the ring in Marinette's palm. "As long as you have this you'll come back. You'll come back and you're going to kick some serious butt, okay?"
".." Marinette looked down at the ring for a few seconds. "Okay."

Samuel picked up Marionette, holding her close. The young man typically did not cry, but when he did it was a sight to see. Tears slipped down his face as he held her his shoulders shaking in silent sobbing. He was a rather emotional man compared to Sade, and honestly everyone else. He set the girl down, and Samuel pulled out a notepad. A different notepad than his normal one. Flipping it open to the first page, Samuel showed it to Mari for her to read, handing it to her alongside a pen.

Mari, I know I can't say this out loud and it really hurts that I can't. Some things are better when you can hear them, you know? I really grew attached to you, watching you grow into a beautiful young girl, ready to sacrifice herself for a boy whom she just met. Kinda like your mom. Kinda like Sade. The world today is a harsh and cruel place, but children like you always make things better for us grumpy adults who take everything too seriously (: I love you, Mari, and I can't wait to see you again soon. This notebook is for you to write your thoughts in, kinda like a diary. But the only one who can see what you've written is you, I had it enchanted by a witch. If you are ever in need of assistance, you can write my name in the book and I'll come running. Okay?

"Hey." Vincent blinked at Chaka.
"Hi." Chaka looked at the room Vincent had just came out of. "Surprised you didnt rip his head off."
"Well.." Vincent didnt finish.
Chaka didnt speak for a moment. "...You're worried, huh? You dont wanna miss her getting married."
"Take lots of pictures for me, okay?" Vincent smiled sadly.
Chaka gazed at him. That wont happen. Because you'll be there, He promised silently. However, all he said was, "Alright."

Kila took a deep breath. "I'll keep her safe."
Cory remained silent through all of this.

Suddenly a hand came from behind Vincent and grabbed his shoulder.

Marinette took one look and came running forward, hugging Samuel once again.
"I know you will," Sade nodded, fighting back tears of her own "You have a certain light to you."

Samuel hugged her close, trying not to cry. He closed his eyes for a moment, just a moment, before letting Marinette go and looking at her sternly. It was obvious what he wanted to say; Stop it, you're making me cry. He let out a weak little chuff, his chest heaving as he tried to laugh slightly.

Kila tried to smile, but she couldnt.
